I finished the book this weekend! I think my opinion is best summed up by the following: I finished the book, got in my car and went to the library to take out the next in the series: Royal Assassin. This all happened in the span of about 20 minutes. And on World Cup kickoff weekend no less, and I'm a huge soccer fan! I loved the characters: Fitz, Lady Patience, Burrich. I love the dogs and am fascinated by the powers that are a part of Hobb's world.The plot is fast paced but not sacrificing of human drama and emotion.
All this said, I think the ending could have been better. To me the ending was too quick, as if Hobb ran out of ideas and decided that it was time to end the book. However this was obviously not enough to put me off reading the next book in the series. All around great read!
