Sean O'Hara (seanohara) | 2365 comments I almost fell out of my chair when Tom describe The Night's Dawn as "just" a trilogy that shouldn't take you all summer to read. The British edition is a trilogy, with each volume topping out 1200 pages. The American publisher split each book into three smaller ones, so the series is actually nine ~400 page books.

terpkristin | 4407 comments I have to say, that list of "5 series you should read over the summer" sounds like it would require you to stop going to work and more or less read all the time to read all 5! :) Not that I'd really have a problem with that, but I think my job would..

I really enjoyed this interview. The Beekeeper's Apprentice has been on my Audible wishlist since Veronica mentioned reading it sometime last year, this interview nudged me over the edge of picking it up and actually starting it now, before The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.

Thanks Tom and Veronica for setting up this interview!!

Veronica, is there one particular book of Laurie R. King's available on Audible that you would recommend for someone sampling her work for the first time?

Yes, of course! As we mentioned on the show, our Audible pick for the week was The Beekeepers Apprentice, the first Mary Russell novel. Here's the link from the shownotes!
