Something truly uncool...
Gotta have the tape, Mandy luv! I've got a Canon MP25DV.
You know, you could just order one from Office Depot or something:

I know. You don't have to say it. It's pretty fucking awesome.

I don't think I'm that attached to my 10 key, I appreciate it, but I don't think I like it as much as you like yours.
Have you ever read Inkheart? I started it yesterday and have a sneaking suspicion that I am in fact Aunt Elinor...YIKES!!

I'll run and grab you a link. Hang on.
Okay, this might be a testimony to my "coolness", but what the hell is a 10-key? Is this some gadget for accountants?
I read Inkheart. Are you really Aunt Elinor? That's...disturbing. :) If you have a library like hers, I envy you.

Well, I'm not as old as Aunt Elinor, so give me time...
Mands, I name all of my animals after characters in whatever book I happen to be reading. The cat that stayed with the ex-husband was Daisy, I was reading Gatsby, Emma...obviously is Austin, Tas is short for Tasslehoff Burrfoot from the Dragonlance series by Hickman and Weis. I used to have two fish, Leo Tolstoy and Lewis Carroll.

Oh, and I added Memory and Dream to my moleskine...
I just added Memory and Dream to my to-read list.
You have a moleskine, too, Amelia? So do I! Large or small?
My cat is named Sylvie after Sylvia Plath. :)

It's small, so I can carry it with me at all times. It has my "to get" list in the front (the ones "to read" on gr are one's I've already bought and have sitting there waiting for me.), the "I've read so far this year" list in the back (a couple of friends and I are doing the 52 books in '08 thing) and stuff I write in the middle. Damn limericks... You?
Plath, hmmm I asked for The Bell Jar for Christmas and got it, but I haven't read it yet. I like happy things, or at least things that end happy, so it scares me. That's pretty uncool huh? I'm not depressive enough...

I've had large and small ones. I currently have a large one, and it's great for journaling. But I prefer the small ones for portability and quick note-taking. Whichever one I have, I usually journal in them, sometimes a little poetry. I also write down books I want to read, wines I want to try, and anything that strikes me that I want to remember. When I am reading a book and I find a quote I like, I dog-ear the page. When I'm done reading it, I go through and copy all the quotes down in my moleskine. Oh, and I make lists. Lots of lists.
Ah, Plath, she does have the power to depress. Try reading her journals some time. So brilliant, yet so insecure. And yes, VERY uncool to want a happy ending. The cool people like being tortured artists that scorn happiness.

Nope, sorry, I want happy. I'm not a good little Goth girl I'm afraid.
Oh...you're a page bender...(note to self, never, ever, ever let shellbell touch your books!)

I don't think there are good little goth girls out there.
Guilty as charged!!! I would never, ever bend a page of someone else's book, though. I only abuse my own.

ShellBell, I took pics of my babies...I'll make it my avatar tomorrow. (I have to wait until then to load the picture at work...I hate Vista!)
Awesome. I can't wait to see.
Speaking of avatars, it's about time I changed mine or I'll lose my title of Queen of avatar changes (Amanda coined that one). That's me driving my dream car. If only it were mine!!!

Mich, these are the classics only, your Dickens, Austen, Elliot etc... alphabetized by author of course. They are all on the right hand side. (The Fat Man got his ass in the pic!)
I had to split it up, or you couldn't really see. There's another pic of the Sci/Fi, Fantasy, History, Art side... on the left. :)
My babies! (I'm not as cranky as Aunt Elinor...and I have big eyes.)

Amanda, you go buy that moleskine yet? You definitely should!
My bookshelves are arranged by genre. Well, they were. I need to do some serious rearranging soon.

Mandy, you're just screwin with me right? Do you really not know what a molekine is?
Mandy girl...it's a journal, a specific, very cool journal:

It's okay, Amanda, you rock, moleskine or no.
I love mine, it's right next to me...

Wait, are moleskines TOO cool? For this group, I would think we'd be using our Trapper Keepers.

Edit: Jackie, did you have one? What did it look like??? :)
I love that I know what a Trapper Keeper is. Do they still make them?
Yes, moleskines are too cool. I love my moleskine. I stroke its glossy cover daily.

I so loved school supply shopping!
Hell, I still love Office Depot, and my little nerd nephew loves it as much as me. Sometimes we just go and walk the isles and buy stuff, just because we like the look of it.

Did that nerd me back up enough?

oh sorry... got caught in a loop.
I have a pen fetish. I compulsively buy them...looking for the perfect one. I have drawers full.

I only use mechanical pencils to write in my moleskine. It's soooo satisfying.

I once watched Return to Me every single night for a month.
What about you guys? Anything you particularly like or dislike about your calculators?
