Alexandria (airdnaxelA) | 12 comments Right so from what I can remeber this novel is set in victorian times but magicians (etc) are everyday people - i think.

The hero of the story is a weather warden/mage and a lord from what i can remember. And the girl is an enchantress/seductress but doesn't know this until several men make a fool of themselves around her.

I think that she also ends up marrying an older man pretty mear the beginning of the book. But it is a marriage in name only because he knows that she has come kind of magic and married her to protect her so she could 'grow into herself' (i think it has been a good five/six years since i read this)

The front cover has a castle on it and maybe some mist.

If someone could help with this that would be great.

Thank you

MB (What she read) | 136 comments I think you might be thinking of something by Mary Jo Putney. Maybe A Kiss of Fate: A Novel?

There are several in this series. The others are:
The Marriage Spell: A Novel, A Distant Magic, Stolen Magic, and a short story in the anthology Dragon Lovers.
