Most books are published in the UK first because they have the most restrictive copyright laws. Because of various international agreements, those laws are binding in many other countries.
About ebooks- no real idea why some books are available as ebooks in the UK but not here. I read a theory that there is less piracy of books there versus America. So, maybe that's why some authors are reluctant to release ebooks here.

Bitterblue finally has a release date that looks like it will stick, May 1st 2012"
I just heard angels sing.

It's been one disaster after another at work. As you know, I've been supporting 5 people in 3 departments by myself for the last 6 months. It's finally gotten to be too much for me. HR has hit review season, Legal has several projects and more urgent ones crop up daily, and IR is picking up along with the international travel the partner I work for is doing.
I haven't been able to chat during the day and I'm so tired when I get home that I just can't face staring at another computer screen or concentrate on reading. At least interviews have picked up again to find someone to take over my HR & IR job, thank the stars. I just hope they get someone in here soon. I had a nervous breakdown last week and I'm heading toward another one already. >_<

Sorry work is so crazy for you, Sans. I hope things get easier soon. We miss you!

Edit: As Sans pointed out in message #124, the Kindle version is available on January 1, with paperback releasing on December 20. Thanks, Sans! :)

That's a bummer for those who don't have kindles. I have one so I am good, but I don't find that fair for others.

I very excited to see what it is!

I don't even know if I could read it because of that!

Ralph asked me if I was going to read her book and I said it depends on if it sounds interesting. I'm not an automatic reader, just because I liked previous books doesn't mean I'll read any old thing an author puts out there.

I agree with you, Carol, but every rule had an exception ;)

The good thing is the article states that her son will continue the Berenstain legacy. I sure hope he does.

Vi, I mostly read Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, The Baby Sitter's Club etc...
