How do you choose a book to read?

My way is that the cover had to be attractive to my eye. Which is, I know, like judging a book by it's cover.

lolzz i do the same thing at firstt!! and then i read the back and see. also i look at the number of pages, =] lolzz. or sometimes if i read a book i really like, i'll just read a book from the same auther. without reading the bac. =]

I don't really read the book, sometimes I do. The cover just has to look really interesting. The better the cover looks (in my opinion) the more I am likely to read it. I do the same as you, Rachel, too, I will read a book by the same author without reading the back. And like Rose said, I also look at the title (which should sound interesting.)
