Q&A With Selena Kitt discussion

A photographer and I have teamed up to create a pre-K board book for bedtime. Does it make sense for us to get an agent, or should we submit to publishers directly? If the answer is yes to an agent, can you recommend a good one?

Getting a traditional publisher is so long and hard. They don't even give good advances anymore, while self-publishing through www.Smashwords.com and Amazon's CreateSpace are so cheap and easy. You can always self-publish now while you seek a traditional publisher.

Board books would probably be best in print. I would query an agent. But I'm afraid I don't know any, sorry!
