The “trans” community is coming of age however, with more people like Jade (whom we met in a Sept. 15 Driftwood story) speaking out to educate the public on what it’s like to be transgender. Even popular media has jumped on board, with television programs like Degrassi: The Next Generation adding transgender storylines."
