I need help. I read a really good book several years ago but I can't remember the title to save my life. I'm hoping that someone out there has also read it and remembers the title. Here's what I do remember:
The genre was Christian fiction. I think the title was just one word. The story was set in the future and centers around a doctor whose son has hemophilia. He has managed to hide his son's condition because if the government finds out, the child will be executed. That's because all babies with medical defects are euthanized. In this same family, the grandfather has reached the age where he must be euthanized because society has decided that it is better to kill the elderly than care for them in nursing homes.
I can give additional details, but I don't want to ruin the end of the book for those who haven't read it. Anyone remember the name of the book or the author?
YES, THAT'S IT. Thank you. While the original book is out of print, I was excited to find a 25th anniversary edition on Amazon. Can't wait to get a copy and read it again. Unfortunately, it isn't available for Kindle.
