Lisarenee | 7659 comments Have you ever read a book that just make you wonder what was that author thinking? Whether it be the description of a character's well endowed anatomy that makes you go "Yikes!", an ending that makes you go "What the Heck?", a character that seems out of place and makes you ask "Why?", or anything else that makes you go, hmmmmmmmmmm...... Let us know. We would love to hear what you have to say.

Wow! Did I make one heck of a run on sentence or what?LOL

Shannon (iandssmom) | 215 comments I tell you I'm still bothered like all get out by the ending of Handle With Care by Jodi Picoult -haven't read anything by her since. It was so needless and just made me mad. Also another book- now I loved this book but the end was defenitely a HMMMMM- I Am Not Sidney Poitier: A Novel by Percival Everett like I said thoroughly enjoyed but still a little off kilter from the ending!

Stacy (stacybinnj) | 57 comments I just finished a book by J.A. Jance called Fire and Ice. I liked the book until the last 30 pages! I felt gypt. It was totally anti-climatic and not what I was expecting. It was almost like the author just wrote "to be continued" on the last page!

Lisarenee | 7659 comments Is it part of a series or was it a stand alone book?

Stacy (stacybinnj) | 57 comments It was a weird book that took the main characters of two series (Sheriff Brady and J.P. Beaumont) and pulled them together into one book. The ending though didn't seem to be the type of thing that would show up in a later book.

SPOILER ALERT: Instead of the bad guy getting taken down, he was simply handed off to the DEA for dealing with later. Then everyone just said "sometimes it's better to walk away".

Oh Shannon I love Jodi Piccoult! Some of the books are a bit... harsh, but (they are so engaging) I continue to read her books.

Lauren | 931 comments A book that made me go "hmmm..." was Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Piccoult. Again, it's intense. But there is a great message within it.

Lauren, I really wanted to read House Rules but since I have a son with autism I was very worried how I'd feel with my experience with Handle With Care. So I'm wondering if you read it and what you think. Thanks for input!
