You know what's really horrible? See that 115 was edited? That's because I started out by writing "I knew a dog who..." and thinking about a cousin's dog when I was five or six. After I posted it I realized that we had stolen the trick and taught it to our dog. Why did my first recollection of it outweigh fifteen years of my own dog doing it? Fickle memory.

I've always thought of Manny as unisex. Like "Blake"

Blake is unisex? I only know one Blake and he's a dude.

And I know a couple of girls named Blake.

I know girls named Kaylee, Kayla, Kyla, Kylee and Kambrie.

Names are weird. Utah is weirder.

Back in my day, they had after-school specials to tackle the big topics. Unless there was a 'very special episode' of Family Ties or somesuch.

I just now realized that the term "pre-Columbian" refers to the time before Columbus "discovered America". What did I think it meant? No idea. It makes perfect sense though and now I feel stupid.

never watched either show. always preferred books to tv unless it was something really special.

I remember A LOT about Degrassi: TNG cause that was basically my fave show from like... Age 11 to 15, and then it got stupid. Or I grew up.

Sometimes size matters Britt...if it's really small, try not to laugh and don't ever ask "is it in yet", that's just rude. But if it's really big...RUN AWAY! Bigger is not always better!

It changed my entire reading of the poem 'cause it's been floating around the internet for two years now, and when I see it, usually I think, "Oh, someone's trying to sound cool and dark."

I bought fish oil capsules today. They were expensive, but my wife wanted them, and I had a coupon at Costco. I might try some myself, even though I'm a vegetarian. I think it's Alaskan salmon oil.

I watched the original Degrassi Jr. High and Degrassi High. It was a cheese fest of really bad songs that must have only been available for your listening pleasure in Canada.

Saved by the Bell was also cheesy but fun. So was Out of This World, Small Wonder, and Head of the Class. Blast from the past...80's tv was horrible, wasn't it?

I loved the 80's but not because of the music or tv but because: I helped build the Crises Service, became head of the speakers bureau, started insurance courses, got my CPCU, raised my son, moved to California, built my career, volunteered for various political campaigns, went all over the place in San Francisco,visited wineries, Russian River,Yosemite...in other words I was at my healthiest and most active part of my life and it was GOOD!

I didn't know that the guy who came up with the idea of the Great Exhibition in London in 1851 was the same guy who came up with the idea of Christmas cards, or that he invented Christmas cards to promote the new penny post.

I did not know that when people have kidney transplants, it is not necessary to remove the old kidney. So if someone has had several transplants, there might be 4-5 kidneys in there!

I didn't know anyone could have more than one kidney transplant? Isn't that, like, a seriously life-endangering transplant?
