Hey.

I'm Hayley, i'm 22 years old and live in the United Kingdom, i decided to create my own group as i've joined many groups and not many moderators seem to be very active with polls and getting things done in the time they say! I get impatient not knowing which books are going to be read next, so i thought that i'd give this whole group thing a shot.

I have so many books on my 'to be read' pile. I think it is possibly a never ending list!

message 2: by Nicolle (new)

Nicolle Hi I'm Nicolle, I am 17 and also live in the UK. I love all kinds of books and I am sure we will have common books on our 'to read' which we can group read as mine expands all the time too!!

message 3: by Diane (new)

Diane | 2 comments Hi I'm Diane and live in Scotland. I am avid reader of all kinds of books. My 'to read' pile is also VERY large and just keeps getting bigger, just like my wishlist !!

Hi Nicolle. Hi Diane =]
Welcome to the group. Great to have you both. Glad i'm not the only one with a huge TBR pile. I don't put all of my TBR books on my 'to-read' list on here, just the ones that i might forget about!

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) | 2 comments Hey, I'm Rachel; 14; American. I like classics or sci fi in particular, but I'll read almost anything good :P But, erm, I don't like the romance genre >.< I don't mind if romance happens to be involved, but I don't really like a book to be based off the relationship :P

Rachel's Book Reviews (rachelsbookreviews) HI!! I love Rachel's comment up there, that is practically me.

This group looks perfect for me! i was just looking for a winter 'curl up by the fire' read and noticed your december reads list. (i'm going to go look at it right now!!)

message 11: by Nicolle (new)

Nicolle Hi Carlos! Yes, I think we all like 'the good stuff' :D

message 12: by Steve (new)

Steve Morris Hi, I'm Steve, kindly invited along by Nicolle. I'm from the UK, little older than some of you guys. I love reading, especially classic literature but I have recently become involved in reading and reviewing new emerging fresh undiscovered books. I like something different, something well-written but clever enough not to need to shock to have an effect.

message 13: by Nicolle (new)

Nicolle Hi Steve!!

Alice (The Reader Room) (adwyer) Hey I'm Alice. I'm 17 and live in London. I love YA fiction. I love most kinds of fiction as well though, and To Read Pile is insanely long, I don't think I'll ever get round to reading all the books on there.

Nicolle Hi everyone.

message 29: by Steve (new)

Steve Morris Hello Everyone. Apologies for falling a little behind at the moment with reading. Students are keeping me busy round the clock as they prepare for exams this month. Who's clever idea was it to timetable exams in January? I've enjoyed A Dog Named Christmas, a pleasant, undemanding warm tale which is the ideal prescription for these dark economic times.

message 34: by Thomas (new)

Thomas Amo (thomasamo) hi everyone I'm Tom, don't live in the UK, but spent plenty of time there! I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone, share in what books you liked the most and why. As for myself, I love a good scary book, can be true crime or fiction doesn't matter. I like some Stephen King stuff, but some of his later stuff, just doesn't do it for me. Anyone suggest someone else they really like?
My paranormal thriller, "An Apple For Zoë" just went live on Kindle last week. Thanks for putting this group together!
Cheers Tom

message 35: by Katie (new)

Katie (katiem63116) Hi I'm Katie. I'm 32, live in St. Louis, MO and work as a paralegal for the prosecutor's office. I read books on the Kindle app once in awhile but I much prefer holding a book in my hand. I will read pretty much anything. I always said I would never read a western, and then I read Lonesome Dove and fell in love with it so I don't say there is a genre I won't read anymore.

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

Hello everyone.

I go by Mocha and I'm a 22 y/o book store employee and avid book reviewer here on goodreads. I also run a young adult review blog called A Cupcake and a Latte. As you can see I absolutely love cupcakes and coffee, my two biggest weaknesses combined with my obsession for reading. I'm hoping to meet some other people will similar interests.

Hoping everyone is having an excellent week!

message 37: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (wilslynn) Hi, I'm Lynn. I'm 41 years old and live in St. Louis, MO. I'm a serial reader :) I love to read trilogies, or book series - especially those with recurring characters! I recently purchased a Sony eReader, and love to borrow eBooks from the library, but sometimes the eReader just cannot take the place of a good ol' book!!

I'm new around here, I've joined a few groups but this one looked very interesting so I knocked on the door! I'm a writer of Fantasy/Humour Fiction and children's books/stories. I do have a book on Amazon - an e-book self published via thier Kindle publishing programme but I'm spending a lot of time at the moment building my blog. Here I share short stories and real life musings with a slightly off kilter edge! Please feel free to take a look and feed back!
