Mary Powell | 15 comments Just thought I would say hello. I happened to see a post from my pal Bluedaizy in your group so I followed her here. lol How could I resist a group with others, like myself, who have a true book addiction and more "unread" books on their shelves than most people have "read" books.

Siobian Hi Mary and welcome!

The Book Whisperer (aka Boof) Hi Mary

If you have more unread than read books on your shelf you are most definately in the right place! Long may your spending continue.

Mary Powell | 15 comments My husband and I have an agreement, he spends money on his dirtbike and I spend money on books. I don't ask him about amounts, and he doesn't ask me. lol

Hi Mary, welcome, and happy addiction day to you! This is the begining stages, the nice warm welcomes, the quick little posts in a few threads, and then you will notice that you are logging on more and more frequently, stealing peeks at our shelves, devouring reviews and wearing your mouse out with the amount of new books to add to your to-buy folders.....

message 8: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Hi Mary, hope you enjoy our group, look forward to hearing from you.

Bluedaizy | 135 comments Good agreement to make, Mary! :)

Lori...that is exactly what is happening to me! I think I need a new mousie. :( I accidentally hit the flag abuse link when I was scrolling and the blasted thing clicked on it. grrrrrr....

I hope it wasnt me you flagged ... he he he
Im on a laptop now, I would rather take a messed up mouse than this stupid scroll pad thingy. As I type, if my hand waves over it, it jumps the cursor into the middle of the text... grrr...

Tim (Mole) The Gunslinger (Mole) | 103 comments i had the same prob lori so i just got a mouse for my lap top i hated the scroll pad!!

Sherry Hi Mary, sorry I'm late in saying hello and welcoming you to the nicest group on GRs.I liked what you had to say about our unread shelves being larger than what's on most people's shelves.:)So true!!!Usually because they give them all away!I can't imagine such a thing.Books are like jello, there's always room for more!

Val Nichols | 159 comments Hey Mary! I'm quite new here myself and I'm loving it. Everyone is so very nice and welcoming and, more importantly, we're all quite obsessed with books! You'll fit in just fine.

Mary Powell | 15 comments If this tells you anything about me, my dear husband just built a new "headboard" for us. The whole wall our bed is on is now bookshelves with a bed crammed in the middle. lol
Thank you all for the very warm welcome. I have been on GRs for a couple months and had actually joined a few groups, but still hadn't found what I was hoping for. Then........... I found this group. It's like meeting a group of old friends.

Tisha WELCOME!

message 20: by Bluedaizy (new)

Bluedaizy | 135 comments Mary, you got to show us a picture. I need a new bed. Maybe this is something I can do?

message 21: by Katie (new)

Katie (hockeygoddess) | 257 comments I have a bookshelf headboard too:)

message 22: by Mary (new)

Mary Powell | 15 comments Picture 2 rather large bookcases connected at the top with a bridge bookcase. Under the bridge
is a fabric covered headboard and an unmade bed. lol
The whole thing takes up the main wall in my bedroom. I got the idea from a SouthernLiving magazine I was looking at in my Doctor's office since (gasp) I had left the book I was reading at home.

Katie (hockeygoddess) | 257 comments Mary -- Too funny! I guess it was fate that you left your book at home that day!!
