Rob (rpboland) | 9 comments Hi all,

Recently I built a website called YourNextRead.com designed to give book recommendations. I wanted to share it here and was hoping to get some feedback from the developer community:

http://www.yournextread.com/

Let me know what you think, any thoughts appreciated! Also, thanks to the Goodreads team for creating your API.

Some of the other Goodreads forums have already discovered the site (see below) and they seem very impressed with our recommendations. It occurred to me that perhaps I could reciprocate by opening up our recommendations to Goodreads.com.

Would this be something you'd be interested in?

Rob (rpboland) | 9 comments Hi Michael,

Glad you like the site, we've had some great feedback on it so far. The recommendations come from collaborative filtering, crowd-sourcing and some algorithmic magic (spun out of our entry to the Cambridge University entrepreneurs competition ;).

Our idea is that by getting the avid Goodreads community more involved, the recommendations would improve even faster whilst providing a valuable new tool to find book suggestions.

Brad Dickason | 16 comments Hey Rob, I'm working on a book site right now as well and really like your site! Find the 'map' concept really interesting (albeit confusing at times).

I know this is an old post but just wanted to say keep up the good work!
