Cam 2010 was a disastrous year as far as reading was concerned (if I counted audio I would have had the fifty covered with a combined total of 57), am hoping to greatly improve on that total of the literal books read this year.
2006 = 80
2007 = 68
2008 = 60
2009 = 57
2010 = 37 (57 total audio inclusive)
2011 = 03 (ongoing total)

Word to the wise though, do not do as I did & give it to your 13 year old as a Christmas present - F.....ather & C....hrismas as a language gets a lot of page time & now I find myself having to source a replacement gift that's far more age appropriate. I'm off to hide this at the back of the book shelf and......................wash my eye's out with soap!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cam 2. The Scarpetta Factor By Patricia Cornwell
26th January 2011
She's on her final warning! If Cornwell doesn't pull up her socks with the next installment - this romance is over. Like her last couple of efforts, Terrible.

Donna | 1350 comments I gave up after the whole Wesley debacle. Stupid insulting death followed by stupid insulting resurrection.

Cam Ha, yes Donna, I know what you mean - bit like a Bobby Ewing dream sequence making 12 months worth of Dallas episodes redundant.

Cam 3. Five Quarters of the Orange By Joanne Harris
28th January 2011
For the first half of the book, I could only read a few pages at any given time (it did indeed fill up my senses). Whilst I flew through the second in a afternoon. I really enjoyed this as my first Joanne Harris novel. However I did expect more, more everything in the end and largely I see this as being Joanne's fault as the first half was magnificent in it's build up but was left sadly wanting by it's distant cousin the 2nd three quarters in the end. I felt like it became a flip card set with the top half of the picture being this beautifully textured, richly coloured painting whilst the bottom belonged to a black and white stick figure done in biro. I'm not sorry for the time spent on it as it was well worth the read, I just thought many brilliant aspects of suspence that were crafted so delicately in the story were hurried and in some cases were completely forgotten towards the conclusion.

Cam 4.The Old School By P.M. Newton
25th March 2011
A great debut, coldcase set in Sydney, linked to the past of lead character, & detective 'Ned' Kelly. I'm hoping detective Kelly, has time for some return visits, a most enjoyable read.
