Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments I just recently finished Feehan's Ruthless Game. The story started with a pregnant heroine, and it continues until the time she delivered the baby. Having a pregnant heroine is not my favorite theme when it comes to romance, but I like how Feehan handled this storyline.

Do you guys like romance books that includes a pregnant heroine? What are some of the books you have read that has a similar theme? Share titles and opinions.

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments There is another Ghostwalker book with a pregnant heroine, Conspiracy Game. Here she has the heroine and the hero running for their lives while she is carrying.

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments I'm not so keen normally either 'cos it comes across as a forced plot device - having said that, Conspiracy Game is by far my favourite GW book (5 stars)!

Otherwise, the only books jumping to mind are M&B type books. I have one on my TBR shelf Pregnant By The Greek Tycoon by Kim Lawrence. I thought this one might be OK 'cos the heroine was rejected at the start 'cos the hero was told he was impotent. Forced, but could be a good cheesy rom. And quick. :)

Vanessa (vanessamc) | 394 comments I don't think I've ever read one with a pregnant heroine other than the Nora Roberts Trilogies where one of the side characters/previous heroine is pregnant in the 2nd or 3rd book. I liked it in that case.

I just picked up Ruthless Game at a library sale, but have not read it yet. In fact, I've never even read the series; just as an aside, should I read them in order?

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Oooh - I think you should Vanessa. They flow from one to the next. I'm only up to Predatory Game, but I think you would enjoy them better in order. Having said that, I am OCD... The story probably stands on it own OK, but I won't read it until 3 more are out of the way!!

But perhaps Ruthless Game might give you a taste for the series...

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments I think there is one of the Dark books (also by Feehan) where the heroine is pregnant...IIRC she has a heart condition and carrying the baby is killing her until the Carpathian helps her - but i'm totally blanking on which book it is

Two of Nora Robert's trilogies that I have read that have a pregnant heroine include:

In the Garden (that's the one where the heroine of the third book was pregnant in the first and second book)

and

Ardmore/Irish (where Jude, heroine in the first book, was pregnant in the 2nd book, and ended up giving birth in the 3rd while during a storm)
