message 1: by Jared (new)

Jared (sakuragi) Anyone else as excited as me about getting their hands on the book tomorrow? I have been waiting for this for so long. The first of the trilogy was just amazing. -takes a few deep breaths-

message 2: by Amelia (new)

Amelia (narknon) Yep. Will be at my house tomorrow too. I don't know if I'll start it right away though. It's been a long time since I read the first one. At least I'll have it so I can read as soon as I get a chance.

Hey me and Jim Butcher have the same birthday, I love that with Side Jobs being both of our presents, but did not read it, but look forward to the first 4 chapters of the next Butcher book on his publishers website.

message 7: by Laurel (new)

Laurel Thanks Jon! I hope all is well in your part of the world.

Kevin, Happy Birthday!

Its not my birthday, thanks anyway, I was just saying that both Butcher and me share a birthday like you and the release day of The Wise Man's Fear.

Happy Birthday Laurel hope you enjoy The Wise Man's Fear.

message 13: by Nita (new)

Nita (gillnit) Downloading it to my Nook as I type. Made sure to finish my previous book last night so I could start this one right away. :D

Elise (ghostgurl) | 1028 comments Really looking forward to getting it, but at the moment I have no room for it on my shelf lol.

message 16: by Kara (new)

Kara (sterlink) Everyone's so excited! I pre-ordered, and am hoping for it to arrive within the week (if I'm lucky). Gives me just enough time to finish my re-listen of The Name of the Wind.

=)

message 17: by Alan (new)

Alan Duggan (dugie) Read the sample last night on the Kindle, my book should arrive today :)

message 18: by Traci (new)

Traci I really want to read this book but I have a question for anyone who has started it. I read the first one when it first came out. I liked it alot but that was awhile ago with many books read inbetween. Would you recommend reading the first one again or is the sequel written in such a way readers like me won't be lost? I don't mind reading it again but I have so many other books waiting for me.

message 19: by Dawn (new)

Dawn (breakofdawn) I'm reading it again... But only because I really want to. I'm not sure if it's necessary or not.

message 20: by Kara (new)

Kara (sterlink) Haven't started the sequel yet, so I can't say for sure, but I'm not too concerned with the re-read of book 1, (however, it's HAS been nice audio listening).

It's a group discussion this month, and a book I really enjoyed, so I'm giving it a full attempt, but if book 2 arrives and I feel like reading it, I won't linger - and I DO have a bad memory.

message 21: by Traci (new)

Traci Downloaded the first chapter (why do I forget this option) and it seems good. I'll be reading it when Iam done with the book Iam on now.

message 22: by Jordan (new)

Jordan Walker (Jordan739) I loved this book. Patrick Rothfuss has a wonderful gift and I can't praise his work enough. After reading The Name of the Wind I checked Audible constantly hoping to find the sequel. It was almost a celebration for me when this book was released and I missed out on a lot of sleep listening to it. Now for the next one, I for one can't wait.

~Jordan
