Series or No Series

Some books i would jump at the fact that they might be a series and others i would prefer if it was a single book! :)

A single novel can provide a complete satisfaction without any cliffhangers...
Depends on what mood I'm in!

same here :)

As a reader, I will read either. If I like the characters, I will most likely continue a series. It depends on how well written the book is.
I tend to get burnt out on stuff bigger than a trilogy if it's not very good, but that's not always true.

Me too! It's so nice to finish one book and have the rest of the sequel to enjoy!!

I prefer when a character develops through a series. I grow attached to the mains and supporting cast.

SERIES. What Michelle said, thats what I think too:P

But I prefer long stories. It's just more fun to read and less sad about it being almost over. Though if the book/story isn't completely endearing, then please tell me what happens and let it be over so I can move on...
It's not so much series/not series but length for me.

Agree!
I like better long stories and if the series is capturing, than the longer-the better :)

I feel the same way.

but i still read books that aren't in a series since some can be really cool

Ones that aren't planned aren't usually very good. Sometimes authors just decide to drag a story out over several books and it just gets annoying.

My sentiments exactly. :D

Agreed!...I also feel that way.

The only thing that's drives me mad is the wait!!! But it definitely builds excitement :) I haven't read many stand alone books but I just don't feel the same love for them :)

But I agree that waiting for the next book so painful!!!

I agree :) if they have a plan then it generally means the series will be good and not go too crazy towards the end :)

I just realized that most of the books I own are all part of a series. Realistic fiction books usually stand a lone but, paranormal books that are not part of a series??
I can't think of one...
I think that books that are part of a series get way too tangle up in lots of drama until the point you forget the original plot and you don't know whom was whom.
So, series or no series?
