D.G. | 4477 comments Based on a discussion in a separate thread, Pay-It-Forward RRRC Style, it had been agreed upon to try a book-sharing program, where we can raffle books that we don't need or have duplicates or just want to share with other members.

RULES:
1. Only participate if you are willing to share a book.
2. The one who is mailing the book will shoulder the postage.
3. Please specify in advance if you are willing to mail within a certain region (North America, Europe, etc.) or worldwide.
4. Books shared should be in good condition: no torn/missing pages, etc.
5. If you have other rules, be sure to post it before starting the raffle.
6. The person doing the raffle has the final say in any dispute.
7. The time frame for the raffle may change depending on the person doing the raffle.
8. If you win a book, you must claim your prize and post the new raffle within 5 days. If you don't, a new winner will be chosen.

Be aware that this is done in the spirit of giving. Again, if you win, please do not break the chain. Remember, when you sign up, it is with the agreement that in case you win, you will do the next raffle.

D.G. | 4477 comments Valerie will stop by soon and open her raffle. :)

message 3: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments But this thread (#2) is specfically for ppl who are happy to post internationally, isn't it? ie No need to specify in advance if they are happy to post overseas or not...?? (Just 'cos the name implies it...) :)

message 4: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments IIRC - DG is going to edit the thread title depending on if the person who wins the previous one is willing to send overseas

message 5: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 4477 comments Valerie already told me she's willing to ship both US & Overseas, that's why it's in the name. For the next person, I'll change the name of the thread as needed because the person who wins this raffle may not be able to ship overseas.

message 6: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Oh - OK. ...what does IIRC mean again?? (SLOWLY getting there on the abbreviations!!) :)

message 7: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments IIRC - if i recall correctly

message 8: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 4477 comments IIRC = If I remember correctly. :)

message 9: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments LOL!! Thanks - both work! :)

message 10: by Valorie (new)

Valorie | 2218 comments Ok, here we go! I'm willing to ship overseas and the US.
My books are all used, and are in really good shape.

I will select the winner Thursday (3/24) around noon pacific daylight time, since I'm in California!

Sci-Fi Romance
Born of Night (The League, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Urban Fantasy
Guilty Pleasures (Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series #1) by Laurell K. Hamilton The Laughing Corpse (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #2) by Laurell K. Hamilton Key to Conspiracy (Gillian Key, ParaDoc, #2) by Talia Gryphon

Historical Romance
(this is as close as I get to historical, I'm on Photojim's team when it comes to this genre)
Sword of Darkness (Lords of Avalon, #1) by Kinley MacGregor

Contemporary Romance
Sleeping Arrangements by Madeleine Wickham

Cozy Mystery
Better Off Wed (Annabelle Archer, #1) by Laura Durham Slay It With Flowers (A Flower Shop Mystery, #2) by Kate Collins

Paranormal Romance
(My favorite genre, hence the large choice!)
Over Hexed (Hex, #1) by Vicki Lewis Thompson The Immortal Hunter (Rogue Hunter, #2) (Argeneau, #11) by Lynsay Sands Light My Fire (Aisling Grey Guardian, #3) by Katie MacAlister Sex, Lies and Vampires (Dark Ones, #3) by Katie MacAlister Swimming Without a Net (Fred the Mermaid, #2) by MaryJanice Davidson

Romantic Suspense
Renegade (Elite Ops, #5) by Lora Leigh

Wow, I may have went a little overboard, but I wanted everyone to have a good selection to choose from (hopefully Rossy, I have something you can select!).

message 13: by Rossy (new)

Rossy (naughtybookjunkie) | 2192 comments Soooo close Valorie. I have read some and others i own, so not this time. But at least now i have more chances so i can get rid of at least some of my books!LOL

message 14: by Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (last edited Mar 20, 2011 05:48PM) (new)

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments I can say that I really enjoyed the Vicki Lewis Thompson book you have listed. The town of Big Knob had me laughing through all the books to date.

And I'm sure that whenever I post a raffle I'll include at least one historical romance as well. It will be the only book I will not have read.

message 15: by Cassie (new)

You probably could get away with it, but I'm a big believer in reading series books in order. I would suggest getting the first one if you can.
