1 - The best book you read last year: Probably The Hunger Games
2 - A book you've read more than 3 times: the entire Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz
3 - Your favourite series: Argh, difficult! The Dark is Rising and The Song of the Lioness Quartet, I reckon
4 - A guilty pleasure book: the Mediator series and the Missing series by Meg Cabot (her best books, I think)
5 - A book that made you laugh: Many! The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, City of Bones, The Amulet of Samarkand, Soulless
6 - A book that made you cry: The Amber Spyglass! I remember sobbing over the ending!
7 - Most underrated book: The Raging Quiet
8 - Most overrated book: Vampire Academy, ugh. (And a lot of other PNR!)
9 - A book you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving: Artemis Fowl. For some weird reason, before I read this I thought it was a classic book about birdwatching - needless to say I was reluctant to pick it up! Ha
10 - Favorite classic book: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Legend.
11 - A book you hated: The Catcher in the Rye
12 - A book you used to love but don’t anymore: the Maximum Ride series, before it went downhill :(
13 - Your favorite author: a tie between Susan Cooper, Tamora Pierce and Orson Scott Card
14 - Favorite male character: Ender from Ender's Game. Though Fred and George Weasley also get an honourable mention :D
15 - Favorite female character: Hmm, more difficult. Probably Alanna from The Song of the Lioness Quartet
16 - Your biggest fictional crush: I don't think I really have one. Maybe Adam Hauptman from the Mercy Thompson books?
17 - A good quick read: Finding the Fox by Ali Sparkes. (For younger readers, but I had fun!)
18 - A book that disappointed you: A Game of Thrones
19 - Favorite book-to-movie conversion: LOTR and Harry Potter
20 - Favorite romance: Marnie and Raven from The Raging Quiet
21 - Favorite book from your childhood: Everything by Tamora Pierce! Plus the ANIMORPHS books

23 - A book you've been meaning to read for ages: On the Jellicoe Road! And Foundation by Isaac Asimov
24 - A book that you wish more people would read: Across the Nightingale Floor and The Seer and the Sword. Do it!
25 - Character you are most similar to: Mercy Thompson from Moon Called. Both love cars and martial arts, both mixed racial background, both logical and matter-of-fact rather than emotional
26 - A book that changed your opinion about something: A Room of One's Own and Speaker for the Dead made me less narrow-minded about the books I choose to read
27 - Most surprising plot twist or ending: The last Narnia book! I was scarred by the fact that (view spoiler)[all the main characters died in a train crash at the end!! I've never been able to read that book since (hide spoiler)]
28 - Favorite book title: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time and I Was Told There'd Be Cake
29 - A book everyone hated but you liked: Northern Lights, when we read it at primary school

8 - Most overrated book: ugh I seriously do not get the hype. It was TERRIBLE

9 - A book you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving: Hmm I guess I didn't expect to like as much as I did but I LOVED it, definitely my favorite Nicholas Sparks bok

4 - A guilty pleasure book: haha probably anything by VC Andrews, and I'm starting to get a little into romance novels...
5 - A book that made you laugh: haha me and a fellow band enjoyed this.
6 - A book that made you cry: I've never cried from a book, I'm not a high believer in crying, parts in a few books were sad I guess.

17 - A good quick read: was great for bubble bath reading :)
18 - A book that disappointed you: I was pretty upset I couldnt' really get into it, I also thought it was going to be more historically based instead of fanasty.

20 - Favorite romance: This keeps changing as I read books but a few are Gemma and Katirk , with Dante, and Right now I'm enjoying still Zoey and Doug in

I tried really hard to keep my answers to new books, except for Outlander of course if it wasn't about 'favorite'. If it was favorite hero or heroine or book, any other answer would have been a lie. I could have fit Outlander in there alot more, but I chose others, haha.

Oh, fun! Here's my list:

1 - The best book you read last year: Clockwork Angel--Amazing. A must-read for anyone who loves Victorian London.
2 - A book you've read more than 3 times: Umm...many, but let's say Anne of Green Gables
3 - Your favourite series: hands down, The Little House Collection
4 - A guilty pleasure book: Twice Bitten; a snarky, butt-kicking heroine (training stuff and action is great), plus a great best friend and hot guys
5 - A book that made you laugh: The Help
6 - A book that made you cry: The Hunger Games, particularly the scenes with Rue and District 11's silent tribute to Katniss because of her
7 - Most underrated book: Shiver; gorgeous and achingly sad.
8 - Most overrated book: Twilight
9 - A book you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving: If I Stay; hard subject, beautifully written.
10 - Favorite classic book: Rebecca; "I'm trying to ask you marry me, you little fool."
11 - A book you hated: Blood and Chocolate; Argh! SO inappropriate and wrong.
12 - A book you used to love but don’t anymore: I stand by my convictions. :)
13 - Your favorite author: couldn't possibly choose
14 - Favorite male character: Dimitri, Vampire Academy
15 - Favorite female character: Rose, Vampire Academy; the ultimate ass-kicking heroine
16 - Your biggest fictional crush: Will Herondale, Clockwork Angel; witty, handsome man of action with a bruised heart. *sigh*
17 - A good quick read: The Mind Readers; fun, well-priced e-book
18 - A book that disappointed you: Poison Study; an emotionally distant series that didn't live up to its promise
19 - Favorite book-to-movie conversion: The Secret Garden, 1993 version; so beautiful and true to the spirit of the book! I watch it every spring.
20 - Favorite romance: Hm, hard to pick, but let's say Clara and Tucker from Unearthly. I like couples that are nice to each other, and the courtship in this is very sweet. Dimitri and Rose were also great, minus the whole I'm-going-to-turn-you-into-a-vampire thing.
21 - Favorite book from your childhood: The Velveteen Rabbit; love love love.
22 - A book you can't wait for: Clockwork Prince; December is much too far away...
23 - A book you've been meaning to read for ages: any Neil Gaiman, but especially The Graveyard Book
24 - A book that you wish more people would read: A Ring of Endless Light
25 - Character you are most similar to: Tessa, from Clockwork Angel; reader, romantic, capable of dark and mysterious deeds
26 - A book that changed your opinion about something: The Namesake, which made me more sympathetic to my poor parents
27 - Most surprising plot twist or ending: Fingersmith; I was lucky enough not to know anything about the author when I first read it. Try not to read anything other than a couple of blurbs if you decide to try it!
28 - Favorite book title: When You Are Engulfed in Flames
29 - A book everyone hated but you liked: The Little Stranger; even though I guessed what was going on and it gets a little crazy at the end...
30 - Your favorite book OF ALL TIME: This is a cruel and impossible question!

Ok I am too ADHD for this one! It seems so long. I give credit to all who have done it. Kristina I can't believe you hated the Help! That hurts my heart.

Kristina, I haven't seen a post from you in the book twin conversation, but I think you are the closest I've seen to a book sibling for me (with the exception of The Help which I actually loved).

3 - Your favourite series: Michael Moorcock's Elric Saga; Anne Bishop's The Black Jewels books; Meredith Anne Pierce's Darkangel series; of course Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel and Imriel series

4 - A guilty pleasure book: It's so painfully, typically Harlequin, LOL.

5 - A book that made you laugh:

6 - A book that made you cry: He so needed a much stronger mate than Tori.

7 - Most underrated book: Anything by Malorie Blackman and Chris Wooding. These two British authors write some of the most amazing YA books in the world. Also Holly Black's fae series: Valiant, Tithe and Ironside. No fluffy happy fairies here. She goes back to an earlier and darker tradition. Best yet, no silly unrealistic romances.

8 - Most overrated book:
Oh this one's easy

I heartily agree about Nightshade. What a disappointment...though, admittedly, the cover was something of a tip-off!

(Also, an extra 'yay' for Alanna! Especially in contrast to the above)

@Arphaxad: Actually, the cover's the only decent thing about the book. I really thought Calla would be what I'd wanted an alpha female wolf to be. Instead she just gets subsumed by the males around her. I wish I could sue the reviewer for false advertising and all the time and brain cells wasted.

Hahahaha! I love that you posted that Vixenne. I have a whole shelf dedicated to books that have wasted my life. I try not to read anything that would be put on it.

@Vixenne Hah, exactly! Nightshade was a big disappointment to me, too. I read it because so many people liked it, but in the end the cover was the best thing about it. Calla spends a lot more time mooning over both boys in her life (oh, I like this guy...oh wait, this guy's really hot too! but now the other guy is standing in front of me and he's so cute...) than she does trying to figure out her wolfiness.

A book that changed your opinion about something

. I read this as a child and it bothered me, though I always thought of Jim as being more heroic than Huck. As time went on and I learned more about Twain's life and his beliefs, I understood the book more, including his usage of the n-word. It's uncomfortable to read, and that, I think was Twain's point. He was showing us how uncivilized the supposedly civilized people really were because they denied Jim's humanity.

Huck Finn is more serious than Tom Sawyer and I liked it a lot more too.

Heidi I just saw what you said about The Help! lol Sorry! I don't know what it was about that book but I just hated it, ugh!

It is one of my top 10 YA books ever read. It takes at least 200 pages to know what the "he double hockey" sticks is going on though so be warned.

*Chuckles* I did check our books actually, since Cassi often says what I'm thinking (and is, notably, a fellow Ender enthusiast), but oddly we're only at 66%. Maybe it's because I'm stingy with my ratings! I'd certainly say we have some similar preferences though, from what I've seen elsewhere :)
