Kia (kiasomers) | 7 comments So.. I need a little of your help ladies!! I have a ton of unread/unstarted series on my actual bookshelf to dive into and I can't decide which one to start next. I was hoping that I could receive some advice from some of you. Here are the series I am deciding between:

The Demonica Series
The Darkyn Series
The Night Huntress World
The Dark-Hunter Series

Nairabell | 193 comments I loved the entire Dark Hunter series and the first books in the Demonica and Night Huntress, but I really didn't like the Darkyn (too dark and just kinda weird). I'd go for the Dark Hunters if you're looking for romance, Demonica if you're tastes run a little hotter and Night Huntress if you like a bit more of a UF bent.

message 3: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) demonica!! I've read all the Dark Hunter series and while the first few are good, the later ones are a bit ehh, but I loved all five of the demonica (and the first one in her new series featuring some of the demonica people just came out)

Lisa M (lamessegee) | 248 comments I don't think you could go wrong with Demonica or Dark-Hunter. It's true that in Dark-Hunter there are some books that are better than others, but I still enjoyed them all and was happily immersed in that world for weeks. And there are so many heroes that you'll love from that series, including Acheron. IMO, it's "classic" PNR. Demonica is hot and I wish there were more books in the series. After you're done with Demonica, read Eternal Rider. It doesn't matter which series you read first, just be sure you read them both!

BTW, do you mean Night Huntress (Cat and Bones), the UF books, or Night Huntress World, the PNR books?

new_user | 1389 comments Demonica! I liked Darkyn, but that's not necessarily for everyone.

message 6: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (jenny1973) DEMONICA for sure!!!!!!!!

message 7: by Nita (new)

Nita (gillnit) I like all 4 series, but if I had to pick one, I would pick Demonica. It is fun and hot!

message 8: by La La (new)

La La | 245 comments I'm with everyone else. If you want a consistently good read then Demonica is the one.

message 9: by Reena (new)

Reena Jacobs (reenajacobs) I started the first book of the Night Huntress book. I'm thinking a book I'd been dying to read walked through my door, so I set it down. I plan to get back to it though, but it's so hard to restart a book once I stop.

Other that, I think I'm up to date on the Dark-Hunter series. I loved them all the way up to Acheron's book. After that, the went sort of down hill. Still a good number of books leading up to it.

Oh I'm sorry, I meant Night Huntress with Cat and Bones.

McKenzie | 57 comments Haven't read any except Demonica and loved it so much! That's where my vote goes.

Kia (kiasomers) | 7 comments Thanks Ladies!! So far you have been a huge help. You have helped me narrow it down to Demonica and Night Huntress. The majority of you seem to think Demonica is the way to go. At the same point I've been looking forward to the story of Cat & Bones for a while… maybe due to the fact that I just recently finished Karen Marie Moning's Fever Series.. and The Night Huntress sounds some what similarly to Mac and Barrons. But I LOVE The Black Dagger Brotherhood.. so the thought of getting into another hot blooded series is seriously tempting.

Mrs.Vishous-Kattalakis-Belikov :::Para Itch Reviews::: (vanesmate) Being a HUGE Dark-Hunter fan...I should say read it. BUT Night Huntress is soooo good, I think you should start there. Cat and Bones are the best and the books just get better and better! Cat is kick-ass and Bones is a wet dream come true!!

The Demon Brothers from Demonica are great too...tough choice chica!

Christen (GoldiloxReads) | 57 comments You have two of my favorite series on there! Demonica is hot and sexy, but still has a great plot with a great mystery to figure out (my complaint about some PNR is that the plots are eh).

But Night Huntress is probably my favorite series (close tie with the Fever series though!). If you liked the tension between Mac and Barrons then you will probably really like Night Huntress. And the relationship between Cat and Bones is STEAMY. The author gave both Bones and Cat some hilarious clever one liners as well.

Go for Night Huntress, Cat and Bones are awesome, hot, steamy, sexy, funny! Bones has one of my favorite lines ever in the last book "ask me if I sparkle and Ill kill you!" Too funny.

message 16: by Lenore (new)

Lenore (lenorenrr) | 528 comments Night Huntress hasn't gotten enough votes in my opinion. The first book is slow to start (standard for most first books in a series) then picks up. It is a romance series until about the 4th book. Bones is HOT!

I've heard great things about Demonica, but haven't read it.

Dark Hunter is a touch and go. I, like all the others, LOVE Acheron! One of the best PNR books in my opinion.

So between those 3, I don't think you can go wrong.

Gin (gynh) | 32 comments I've read Demonica and Night Huntress and overall like Night Huntress better (Bones...Chapter 32..nuf said). But I have to say I just read Eternal Rider..a spin off from Demonica and it was AWESOME!

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

Chapter 32 is legend *wait for it* -ary!

Mlpmom (Book Reviewer) (mlpmombookreviewer) | 839 comments The only one I have read in your list is the Night Huntress Series and I highly recommend it. It is one of my all time favorites. Bones...hmmm, enough said. ;)

message 20: by Kia (new)

Kia (kiasomers) | 7 comments I think I may have made my decision. Night Huntress it is. As soon as I am done with that series, I am definitely going to dive right into The Demonica Series. Thank you so much for all of your feedback. It was a huge help. I hope that I can return the favor at some point :)
