On an average week I'd say I read one or two books of a more or less standard length. On very busy weeks I may read half a book, even less. I do not set myself page goals per day, because it makes it too much like a chore. If there's a day on which I don't feel like reading, I don't - I know I tend to make it up elsewhere.

Has been running about 20 books a month.
I am retired so this is my dream come true.
I read about an hour every day. On my days off, I read most of the day (minus time with the kiddos, household chores, etc. OOOF! That laundry can wait. I've gotta finish this chapter!).

Weekends are usually another story entirely. I would prefer to spend my whole weekends doing little else besides reading, but life sometimes gets in the way.

50-60/day is still amazing!
I try to do a book a week.

Thanks!! A book a week is really good!!!

I usually read about 10 books a week, but it depends on the size of the books.

All told, this translates to reading 4-5 books a month on average. (As a teenager, I read more briskly, probably 8 to 10 books a month.)
Among the books I'm now reading are the following ---

Both of these books are on the magnitude of 443 and 450 pages, respectively.

I have two baby born twins and one son who is almost 5 years old.
I'm about to finish my MBA.
I play chess half proffetionaly (? - is this how it speld?).
according to that I don't have much time to read.
but yet,
I read on the bus on my way to work and back home. I read another hour or two in the night or early in the morning. I read more on weekends.
My luck is that I read quite fast...

it depends on my mood.
i don't actually read just to finish something.
i read because i enjoy the story, and if i got bored or the book's not my taste, i stop and pick other book to read.

I'd say on average I will read between 75 to 100 pages per day.

By the way, A Room With a View is an iTunes audiobook...if anyone is interested :)

Sometimes I read during my lunch break - probably 2 days a week - so that's 2 more hours.
I read during my walk and bus ride home - that's 30 minutes x 5 days = 2.5 hours.
I spend an hour or two reading about 1 evening per weekday, on the other weekday evenings I read for about 30 minutes. So that's 6 hours.
On the weekend days, if it's raining I spend 3 hours a day more or less. If it's sunny, I am probably hiking and will only read for 1 hour all weekend. So that's 1 to 6 hours.
Adding it up: I spend about 15-20 hours each week reading. Pretty good stats!
I read the New Yorker more or less cover to cover, so that eats up a decent amount of my reading time each week. I still manage to read 2-4 books per month along with all those New Yorkers.

Wow! I love how you squeeze in reading whereever you can! Those are good stats!! You are really busy too!! It is very encouraging! I was so afraid that after I had my daughter I would never have time to read ever again, but seeing how you do it, I know that if there's a will there's a way! You just gotta prioritize!! And I guess I'm not doing so bad, I got 8 read just this month!

So it depends on what I'm reading-2-3 books a week of light stuff & much longer on more intensive works. I think I judge more by how much time I spend reading than the amount finished. Otherwise, I start feeling like a racehorse & don't want to run courses that will take too long-or require walking not running!

I have exams right now, so I hardly have time to read 20 minutes a day, however, as soon as I have summer holidays I'll devote 2 hours every day to reading:-)

If I really love the language, it can take me a lot longer. Poetry, for example, can be very short and take me more time to read than 3 cozies.

Notwithstanding that, as a general rule, I continue to read a book until I either come to the end of a paragraph, which signifies a transition to a different part of the story, OR I pause after a paragraph that marks the end of a conversation (or conversations) between characters.
