Ahoy hoy, (Thought I'd be different than the simply hi even if that makes me a pirate.) I'm Shelly and I just recently as in yesterday started blogging hoping to gain the community neighbours that would perhaps help me get it either off the ground or even just a few tips on reviewing as I see alot on instagram where people tag pages and I just dont have the patience. Hi I'm Lauren! I am a brand new, active book blogger. I will be posting daily and am looking to improve and grow my blog. Very recently I started a blog with two of my book loving girlfriends. If you ask us what we read, we usually respond, “Smut!” I think romance is the one genre we all share the most. Whether it is paranormal, contemporary, sports related, military, BDSM or whatever, one of us has probably given it a shot. If we really love it, we badger each other until we’ve ALL read it.

At this point I’m the only one posting. I have reviews up for urban fantasy, adult contemporary and YA dystopian. Ashlee and Amber will hopefully be posting soon. We enjoy going to author events to meet and discover new authors. I’m sure we will be chronicling those as well.

Hello, my name is Tom Roberts. I am an author who runs his own publishing house and I have been a blogger for about 2-3 years. I blog mainly about political/world events but I have recently been getting into Goodreads as I am finally getting a little older and a little wiser and realised this is the place to talk to people who love to read. I have started reviewing some books and will shoot some review videos. It is interesting to see how many reviewer blogs there are out there for books.

So, a bit about me, I write fantasy and some historical novels. I am currently working on a fictional pirate story set around the stories of Bartholomew Roberts - inspired a bit by the Black Sail television series, which is one of my current favourites. I like to read fantasy and historical fiction but I’m no stranger to more political and economic books. A really good one I am reading is the Will Hutton one, How Good We Can Be (following on twenty years later from his thought provoking political insights in his book The State We’re In)

I am not sure how talking to folk on Goodreads works but I thought I would just say hello and start participating in the community. I blog because I like writing and I want to have wider conversations, wider in the sense of outside my friends and family group, to discuss issues, think about things more.
