Hi Lacey thank you for following me! I'm not sure how to follow you back and am confused about the whole widget/button thing to be honest! I'm feeling a bit stupid now!

I've decided, yet again ( this is version 5 from over the last 2 years!) to have a go at blogging. It isn't a specific book blog as I don't have time to dedicate to lengthy reviews. I cover different things happening in my life which happen to include books.

What you won't find is any paranormal / Vampire type of books. I don't read them, although I know many of you do. I don't tend to read YA either and I'm not interested in writing fan fiction or my own book. Rather than waste your time I thought it best to mention it. I am also 30+ years old so my interests are less <3 Robert Pattison / Twilight and more dull boring stuff like my house, my husband, going to work...yawn, yawn, yawn...

Thanks! I am probably the wrong person to learn from! Hope it doesn't bore you too much. I will check you out as well. I used to teach so I know some YA books - I'll look for any recommendations of ones about "real life" - when I was a teen (I sound so old, I'm not in my heart!) we tended to read stuff more about relationships and stuff. The whole Vampire / paranormal stuff is new to me and seems to be a really big market.

The reason I don't write - partly cos I prefer to read but also cos I have 80,000 - 100,000 words to write by March! Sadly all academic words...

I like books about reality too and I actually enjoyed them a lot but haven't found a good one lately, if you have any recommendations on those kinds of books it'd be awesome!

I just realised I have been posting in this group and didn't introduce myself - how rude!

A few weeks ago, after months of procrastination and working up the courage, I finally started my book blog: http://theaussiezombie.blogspot.com/

Now my passion is (obviously) zombie, post-apocalyptic and horror, but I also review a whole range of books, and have found myself in the past few weeks reading quite a few YA books - some of which have really opened my eyes to the YA genre.

My giveaway ends today, but I'm planning on a lot more in the future - I love the idea of readers being exposed to books they would never dreamt of reading - and hopefully enjoying the experience!

I love my Kindle, I know you'll definately love it! I use it to death :)

and I'm not that great with technology either, I actually taught myself how to do it and it's still not perfect...
