Stacey people are ubsesiong over these two books. not that i don't LOVE HP, but why these two series. this has been going on for so long, why don't people move on.

Annie Honestly, I'm not quite sure why so many people are obessing over Twilight. The plot was entirely predictable and I nearly saw what was coming at least a book ahead. The writing left much to be desired, and embodied perhaps what could be most wrong with our society. Instant. Gratification. Why people are still obessed with that series I have no idea, but thankfully after the movies are over with most of the chatter will die down.

The Harry Potter series. I'll always have a soft-spot for that series, I grew up with it, and those books were the ones that truly got me into reading. Without them I'd be a completely different person, those books gave me the ultimate gift: the love of reading. And even though Harry's older and his adventures are done and he has cast his last Expecto Patronum! That series was the series that showed me how wonderful books can be and a part of me will always be obessed with that series.

Rebekah Hui I have never read the twilight series but with all the reviews people have given me I would not compare twilight with harry potter.
I say Harry Potter Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rebekah Hui Twilight has not been out for a long time.Harry potter has lasted 12 years.

Margo Mandrillo Wow. Both were entertaining stories, not well written masterpieces worth arguing and debating over. There is no winner or loser. All movies left something to be desired making the general statement, "The book was SO much better than the movie!" ring truer than ever.

Dustin Annie wrote: "Honestly, I'm not quite sure why so many people are obessing over Twilight. The plot was entirely predictable and I nearly saw what was coming at least a book ahead. The writing left much to be des..."
Thank you so much. I feel the exact same way, and I'm just glad to know there is someone else who can verbalize it better than I can.

Amber Like many others, Harry Potter was a part of my childhood. Granted, I enjoyed reading before I got in to Potter, but the series was the first time I actually cared about the characters in a book. The Weasleys were the family I never I had, with siblings I never fought with. Hermione may have been just about every girl's inspiration to do better in school; maybe that was just me. Harry, to me, was the stubborn hothead you can't help but admire.

The series was imaginative and very stimulating to a child, preteen, and teen's imagination, and the story grew more mature as the audience aged. It may not have been a masterpiece or a classic, and to that I say who cares? Force-feeding kids 'classics' hardly ever inspires appreciation anyway. That's a discussion for another thread, though.

vasiliki Harry Potter is like my first boyfriend..sure i liked him a lot n' sure he has marked my childhood but Twilight adresses my adolescence n' it's sth that goes beyond a simple infatuation..it's the after part when u find ur true mate!!^-^

Carly I like Twilight a little, but my favorite in the second part of Breaking Down because she grows a little more of a back bone. Harry Potter, oh my goodness, I'll keep re-reading those and never get tired.

Emma Honestly, I haven't read Twilight yet, but that's because A) the movies and fan base have ruined it for me, and b) I don't hear a lot of good reviews from people whose opinions I trust most.
Nevertheless, the Harry Potter series consists of the best books ever written, in my opinion. I've never read a book that can beat them, and I don't know that I ever will.

Twilight can't isn't even close to be enough to be compared to HP. J.K. Rowling write so much better than Stephenie because she didn't make the story into a love triangle just to fill out to more books. J.K. Rowling also came up with alot of her own things, she is more original than Stephenie Meyer. J.K. Rowling came up with
Hogwarts, spells, lots of lovely characters and much more, while Stephenie just made Vampires sparkle.

Rebekah Hui The way my mom puts it is "Twilight is all about how great it is to have a boy friend."Okay,I'm sure not reading twilight.I'd think its all romance."Belle spy's on Edward when he's sleeping" That is just Gross.I could probably compare alot of books I read when I was 7yrs old but not Harry Potter!!
