Repost for Message 813 where I neglected a part of the task for 15.9.

I had trouble with this oneso i asked for help in the Helpfolder for 15.9. Dimrose answered me and I did exactly as she said
"I tried the most straightforward sort- only by rating- http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/697..."
This book rating was 0.00, I think because it is a book not easily found. I got it in a swap as an extra freebie. I gave it 2 stars, mostly for nostalgia's sake, although it doesn't hold up to what I remembered reading of Cherry Ames. I probably would have liked it better if i was 10-12 yrs old.

Nurse at Playland Park by Dorothy Brenner Francis Nurse at Playland Park
This book was similar to the Cherry Ames series but with more emphasis on romance and some more mature topics like suicide.

5.10. Summer Fun
The Sex Lives of Cannibals: Adrift in the Equatorial Pacific - just the name of the book alone made me giggle, and then the author starts talking about his experiences on a small island (Kiribati - which is actually said Kiribas)...but I think the most entertaining part was at the end when they returned to the US and the culture shock of DC - going to a mall for the first time

B. The Cellist of Sarajevo - Bosnia-Herzogovenia

15.9 Pulling Weeds
Slave Jade: Formerly Kidnapped - Revised and Expanded (this was from my mm to read list since I keep 2 to-read lists) - Claire Thompson (GR Author) - I ended up DNF'ing the first book I picked for this challenge, so I guess that means it deserved to stay in the weeds and this was my second choice - it was ok, and I can sorta see the low average because of the topic - I have read better in the sub-genre

20.3 Best Review Contest - Sera's task: Happy, Happy, Happy
Joy for BeginnersErica Bauermeister (GR Author) - one of the things that makes me happy is finding new challenges, be they indoors or outdoors, simply setting myself goals is something that I find helps me to be more productive which in turn makes me happier. The book I choose focuses on a group of women who are being dared to do something they have never done by a friend recovering from Cancer.

20.3 Best Review Contest - Sera's task: Happy, Happy, Happy
One of the things that makes me happy is winning cases for my clients, so I read A Wrongful Death. The main character in this series is a lawyer, who gets very involved in winning the cases she takes on.

20.4 Author, Author - Isabell's task: Focus on My Favorite Goodreads Author

20.9 Summerthing is Better: Burro Genius: A Memoir It's a book about a man that was treated terribly when he was in school because he was a Hispanic Indian that has dyslexia. I plan to be an ESE teacher in just a few short years, and I could possibly be dealing with students with dyslexia. Plus, I think it will help me teach students from a different culture better, too.

5.1. At the Shore. Big Sur and the Oranges of Hieronymus Bosch by Henry Miller, takes place mostly at beach parties in the Big Sur area of the California Coast, 404 pages

5.7. Don’t Stop Reading. Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, 104 pages

20.2 NETHERLANDS is an eleven letter word
Option A.11-Letter Word.–
Thunderhead by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, 533 pages

I had wondered which book to use for 20.2 Netherlands… I was partial to using “Big Sur…” because that would have been Option B, which I am partial to since it is homage to my Dutch orange scarf. However I was having a hard time finding an interesting beach book, so I slipped the “Big Sur...” in 5.1 and am going with my original intent of using the 11-letter “Thunderhead” for 20.2 -- Option A.
