Repost for Message 813 where I neglected a part of the task for 15.9.
I had trouble with this oneso i asked for help in the Helpfolder for 15.9. Dimrose answered me and I did exactly as she said
"I tried the most straightforward sort- only by rating- http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/697..."
This book rating was 0.00, I think because it is a book not easily found. I got it in a swap as an extra freebie. I gave it 2 stars, mostly for nostalgia's sake, although it doesn't hold up to what I remembered reading of Cherry Ames. I probably would have liked it better if i was 10-12 yrs old.

This book was similar to the Cherry Ames series but with more emphasis on romance and some more mature topics like suicide.

I read Rainbow Boys by Alex Sanchez
20.9 Summerthing Better
I read The Checklist Manifesto by Atul Gawande. This will make my life better (I hope!) by giving me new ideas when I go back to work as to how to improve efficiency and teamwork in my job, especially since I'll be mentoring a new staff member soon. I love my job so anything that makes my job better also makes my life better!

5.10. Summer Fun
The Sex Lives of Cannibals: Adrift in the Equatorial Pacific - just the name of the book alone made me giggle, and then the author starts talking about his experiences on a small island (Kiribati - which is actually said Kiribas)...but I think the most entertaining part was at the end when they returned to the US and the culture shock of DC - going to a mall for the first time

B. The Cellist of Sarajevo - Bosnia-Herzogovenia
15.9 Pulling Weeds
Slave Jade: Formerly Kidnapped - Revised and Expanded (this was from my mm to read list since I keep 2 to-read lists) - Claire Thompson (GR Author) - I ended up DNF'ing the first book I picked for this challenge, so I guess that means it deserved to stay in the weeds and this was my second choice - it was ok, and I can sorta see the low average because of the topic - I have read better in the sub-genre
20.3 Best Review Contest - Sera's task: Happy, Happy, Happy
Joy for Beginners – Erica Bauermeister (GR Author) - one of the things that makes me happy is finding new challenges, be they indoors or outdoors, simply setting myself goals is something that I find helps me to be more productive which in turn makes me happier. The book I choose focuses on a group of women who are being dared to do something they have never done by a friend recovering from Cancer.

10.3 -- Spare Me Read a book that is set (at least partially) in a place you really don’t want to visit.
Toys by James Patterson (Goodreads author)
I wouldn’t want to go to New Lake City (or anywhere in the world as described in this book). It seems like you’d be living in a constant state of fear as a human. And as an Elite, you don’t seem to really think for yourself. Neither one is appealing to me, so I’ll avoid it altogether, thank you.
