The time has come to chose our next group read. Considering how well an adult book and a YA book seems to be working, we'll do the same thing.

You may nominate the following

1. Any collection of fairy tales, folktales, myths, legends.

2. Any retelling.

3. Any book that has been heavily influenced by fairy tales, myths etc

4. Any modern fairy tale.

5. Any criticism of fairy tales, authors etc

If you nominate a book in a series please make sure either (a) it is a first book in a series or (b) the series does not have to be read in order (think Discworld).

Since so few people nominate, you can put up more than one book.

Hazel | 71 comments I've just read Deerskin, and thought of this group. Quite impressive.

I don't know if this books matches the guidelines, but it is an amazing book filled with fairy's and other amazing creatures. The author is one of the most talented people ever. It is an honor for me to read her books.

Rora I loved Blackbringer too Mindy : )

I'll nominate Till We Have Faces: A Myth Retold by C.S. Lewis and East by Edith Pattou. I haven't read either of them but they both sound interesting.

The Lewis has been on my list for ages. I'd be glad to try that.

Mawgojzeta | 240 comments With seven choices already listed, I think I will hold off until next month to suggest. Great list; several of these books will be going on my to-read list regardless of which one wins the poll.
