Marise Ghorayeb | 7 comments Hello all. Thank you for allowing me to join your group.

Let me start by intruducing myself. My name is Marise Ghorayeb (Even I have trouble pronouncing it). I'm a 24 year old female Mechanical Engineer with a passion for losing myself in a good story (written or filmed). My favorites include Dr. Who, Firefly and any book in the Young Wizards Series by Diane Duane. Recently I've taken my own stab at spinning a wibbly wobbly timey whimy tale. "History of the Timelaws" is my second published book and my first kindle title.

I'd like to offer a free e-copy of my book to a few readers who would be willing to post an honest review for me here and on amazon. I can gift you a kindle copy or I can email you a .mobi or pdf file.

Here's a little description of "History of the Timelaws":

To save her friends, her parents, her brothers and herself, Elizabeth needs to figure out how to deal with a timeline that’s in constant flux. Not an easy task when your memory keeps changing along with your own past.

Elizabeth is a teenage girl who runs a universe-wide sector of a military-like, magical society she calls ‘Dark’. She is the type of girl who can handle herself in a fight: fist, knife, or magical. She learned the first two forms of combat growing up in a rough neighborhood with her two older brothers. Their parents passed away three years ago, in 1979, leaving Elizabeth to inherit her father’s rank.

To make matters worse, her oldest brother, who doesn’t know magic exists, starts to suspect that Elizabeth’s keeping secrets from him.

Wow Patti, Thank you for adding my post to your blog! That's really wonderful of you.
Also, I see from your blog that your from Australia so I have to ask because I've always wondered: Does Santa Clause still wear winter clothes in Australia given Christmas there is during the summer?

message 8: by Patti (new)

Patti Roberts | 93 comments Well yes he does the silly man..... But only when he is in public performing Santa duties. The rest of the time i am told he wears a pair of red board shorts, a white bonds singlet and chills out beside the swimming pool with a cold beer! ... just like the rest of us living here in the hot tropics!

Marise Ghorayeb | 7 comments :) Then maybe next Christmas I'll leave him a beer and some peanuts instead of milk and cookies under the tree.

message 10: by Patti (new)

Patti Roberts | 93 comments yes, i think he may appreciate that. He also has a fondness for prawns. Oh no wait, that's me!

Karen B. (raggedy11) Marise and Patti, I would like a copy for my Kindle too if possible. Marise, I looked on your profile page and I am curious is this the same character from your previous book?

Looks very interested as I loved things about Time Travel.

message 12: by Marise (new)

Marise Ghorayeb | 7 comments Yes, Elizabeth is the same character. I'll admit this makes my chapter one of HotT a little intense since I'm trying to cram a bunch of backstory into one chapter. (I won't bore you with the details of the internal debate I had with myself about whether or not to present it all at once) But the good news is that after chapter one, readers know everything they need to from the first book to be able to follow the main plot of HotT.

Marise Ghorayeb | 7 comments This offer is still available if anyone's interested?

Karen B. (raggedy11) I got the e-book copy and although I haven't read it, glancing over it, it looks very interesting. Thank you Marise. For the rest of you, it really might be worth trying. I have deleted a lot of free and 99 cent books that I've downloaded in the last three weeks but this one is a keeper I plan to read. It just has to line up in my que. (I think that's what the British call it)

Marise Ghorayeb | 7 comments New book cover! I had a new book cover designed for HotT and I'm really excited about it. Now I need to figure out if there's a way to get the updated cover to display on goodreads instead of the original cover. Anyone have any ideas?
