Early on in the book it occurred to me - why don't the wolves just move to where it's warm. No cold - no change, right? Somewhere along the line Steifvater came to the same conclusion. On page 268 Sam is continuing his explanations to Isabel about the werewolves. Apparently - even moving to somewhere warm is not going to help these poor wolves keep from changing.
