Ashley (readerandwriter) Are any of you familiar with reviewum.com? It is an awesome website where you can review your instructors and see what other students have said about a certain instructor. Its great for when you are scheduling your classes. You wont end up with a shitty or crabby teacher. Heres the website link.

Hope this link is useful to everyone.

This is the professor-review site that we used at my college:

Kelsey Baguinat (kelseybaguinat) Yeah, I always use ratemyprofessors.com. It's pretty useful, although you can't really believe everything you read. It does help when deciding who I want my professors to be though! =)

Ashley (readerandwriter) This is not college related but it is a really cool. I guess it would help with those who want to study abroad. Anyways, check out this website:

http://www.interpals.net

This website is 100% free to join. You can meet new people from all over the world and become pen pals, do snail mail or email with them. It is a great way to learn about other cultures and broaden your knowledge. I joined Thursday, and I there is a woman from Egypt who wants to do snail mail with me. Please check it out and if you join, add me as a friend :).

ok so..this isn't college related but it is at the same time.

i was realizing how much I have been procrastinating on the internet rather than doing productive things..soo..Mozilla Firefox has this extension called LeechBlock..

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire...

basically you can block certain sites during certain times on different days..or you could set a limit..lets say you give yourself an hour to go on goodreads and facebook..and then it "blocks" it from you after you go over that limit. You also can put certain sites on lockdown..which is perfect for me if i'm trying to get stuff done..I'll just put it on lockdown for 2 hours like i did today..Its been good so far.

idk if the rest of you are as bad as me..but i figure i should at least try to control my aimless time on the internet when i should be doing productive things.

it really did help me alot..i would just set time limits on certain websites that i go on..and use those..or if i really needed a block of 3 hours where i just did my work i would put it in lockdown mode and i couldnt go on my favorite sites. i really did become more productive.

Caiti Casey Spiess (mrssteven) Jamie thanks for sharing! That will really help me out this year because I will need to get as much homework done as possible during the day.

No problem! I needed it so bad when I was in school because I was always on GR all the time and waiting until the last minute to do schoolwork.
