Do we? I thought November was the beginning of Summer... here it becomes so hot in November and we have so much heat that it seems to melt into Summer as our storm season begins around October/November that I forget that we have an extra month of Spring.

Actually, Dad gives me a book limit... as we can't have too many down there. :(

So, there are years where I don't go to the coast simply because I don't have my stash of books - and most times it's been raining lately. I find there's no better way to spend the day than to sit in the lounge with a nice tall glass of ice tea in Summer and read from my collection of books while the rain is pouring down outside.
Can't do that in a caravan; you're always worried if the rain's coming in somewhere. :S

And it's much more squishy in a caravan....not the privacy of a larger house/room!!! Sounds like you need an ereader (like me) so you'll have a HUGE amount of books with you:D

I'm afraid I'm unable to own one with my Epilepsy; they're not good for my brain. It's RL books all the way; I like RL books anyway as I'm retro that way... I love the smell of new ones and the odour of old ones. :)

Aahh!! I have heard that is the case actually! Just as well you love real books...the only problem is the space they take up, isn't it!!! When you're travelling on a plane, it's very restrictive! Maybe you could go to Vinnies or somewhere similar and pick up the 10c books, while you're in the caravan, then take them back for someone else to read when you're finished?

Dee-Ann | 644 comments Finished Indelible Inkwhich contains a lot of details about the prized garden of the main character ... and two of the main characters are avid gardeners. Thus I am registereing it for category 10. This book was a love-hate relationship for me, and in the end I gave it 4 stars.

So that is 8 down, 2 to go. I am having trouble deciding on a book for number 8.

1. A much loved book. Smokin' Seventeen by Janet Evanovich.
2. Choose a book that features a new life. Bundle of Trouble by Ellen James.

3. Choose a book for it's cover - a spring image with all it's colour. A Room with a View by E.M. Forster.

4. Choose a book which includes handicrafts ... The Memory Keepers Daughter by Kim Edwards

5. Choose a book written by an Aussie author, released somewhere in the 3 months of Spring. The Secret Signal by Simon Haynes.

7. Young Adult book. Fledgling by Mark A. Cooper.

9. A book with the title beginning with the first letter of your name (D). Divergent by Veronica Roth.

10. A book with a garden connection. Indelible Ink by Fiona McGregor.

Louise (louisecc) | 192 comments I've just finished my book club book, so now I can get back into the last 2 for this challenge. I'm in the process of reading Genesis of the Grail Kings: The Explosive Story of Genetic Cloning and the Ancient Bloodline of Jesus and was a bit concerned about slogging through all 400-odd pages (as I think the author is a bit of a weirdo), but happy days! the last 100 pages are charts, lists and other supporting information. Read on MacDuff!

Thanks... I'll need it. I have been trying to get my nose into 'Lady of the Rivers' by Philippa Gregory and 'How to Hepburn' by Karen Karbo. The first one is a fast-moving fantasy novel set in the times of Joan of Ark; and I love it. The second book if a quick-witted book about Katharine Hepburn and information about her. I love it so far. I like to read two books at once to get through as many as I can.

How true... I've always found solace in the written word when I've been sick or recovering from a visit to hospital. And the last time I was doing that was in 1996; and I had to have 4 days bedrest... even though I snoozed through a good part of that, I had 2 weeks to recooperate from a major melanoma operation... which caused me to read plenty and get into my writing again; just to keep my mind active. :)
