Hi,

I'm Mel, I've been releasing kindle books for a year now.

I write the Lorne Simpkins Justice Series, they're gritty thrillers not for the faint-hearted.

The three thrillers are also available in paperback.

I've also uploaded a couple of romances this year too.

It's always difficult writing out of your comfort zone, but according to my beta readers I've managed to pull it off. ;-)

Just released Foul Justice.

Detective Inspector Lorne Simpkins is back on the force. Well I've just unleashed my latest. It's a mystery/romance that takes place on a Caribbean cruise.

Based on a true story.


Danielle Pires's life is going well. She has a boyfriend who wants to marry her and is building a reputation as a talented and hard-working interior designer. Keen to expand her portfolio, Danielle is delighted by a request to breathe life back into the Victorian Mansion that handsome Scott Jordache is renovating.
Her parents, meanwhile, have organised a surprise Caribbean cruise to give her a much-needed break.

Danielle sets sail only to discover Scott aboard the same ship, but mysteriously travelling under a pseudonym. Intrigued, she feels torn between mistrust and being drawn in by his charm.

Should she let herself fall for Scott or return to the security of the man she left at home?

Well, tell your "friend" that it sounds like an exciting story and maybe she should start a travel agency and book some romantic cruises where you get paired up with a mysterious stranger. :)

Another great book by Mel Comley!

Like 'A Time to Heal', this is another romance book by the author (with a little mystery thrown in). I loved this book - it kept me guessing from start to finish!

I loved Danielle as a character and quite often felt myself wanting to give her a hug and tell her everything would work out, and wanting to hit Dean!

The characters are very believable and the story beautifully written. Definitely recommended!
