The Maze of Bones discussion

I don't want anyone to give anything away, I just want to know, are these books worth it? I have started the first one, and so far it is pretty good, but I'm a little concerned, since they are all written by different authors, are they all good? Are they still similar to one another? I started reading them because the first is by Rick Riordan, and I really like his books that I have read, but are the rest by good authors? Please give me info on if these books are good without spoiling them! Thank you!

I've really enjoyed the series. They're all by very good authors (several are award winners and all are veteran children's book authors, many very famous ones). Each author has a slightly different "flavor", but there is a lot of consistency. The characters remain highly consistent throughout the series and plot threads do not get dropped (even if it seems like it, they generally get picked up several books later with a clear explanation for why they were ignored for a time). I would definitely recommend them. It's a fun and intriguing series.

They are fun to red, but in my opinion Rick Riordan did the best job.

They are all really good!!! I think the authors know how to work with eachothers writing and it works really well !!! the series is great continue with them!!!!

i really love the series... it has every factor to a great book, mystrey, romance, comedy, fiction, fantasy etc.... i think you should totally read these books. They are actually lol funny

yeah! if you don't like fantasy but like mystery and action, THIS IS THE BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think anyone can read this book, any age, and gender, to be honest. i'm trying to collect all the book and to be honest, i have NEVER read a book this original before. i love it and it is totally a halarious series. you will also learn a few things too.....

Kimberly, it seems you have a LOT of mixed emotions about these books, and frankly, you're kinda confusing me! :) When I saw you used my name I was kinda freaked out, cause before this I didn't know it says you're name on the comment. I have already read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians and it is one of my favorite series ever!

Ashlyn, I like mystery, action, and fantasy, and you're right I finished this book and loved it!

Katie, It's nice to know all the authors are good, cause my mom doesn't like me to read things by authors she has never heard of, I am glad they are mostly alike, I am, I guess, kinda a child seeing as I'm 11.

We're only on the first one. But I have heard they are excellent. I am reading this with my son, and we love it!!!

Definitely Amazing! I absolute love them! Have read every single one, and now reading the Medusa Plot book one of Vespers Vs Chaills and I am very excited! Read them!

ive read them up untill book 7 and i cant find it anywhere. these books are so awesome i was finishing them in a day, i love them

i finished em... and trust me... after you read the rest your gonna think that the first one sucked... compared to the others

You learn a lot from this series, and they're really good.

these series are very funny and teaches history but in a fun way and its really good! :D

Amazing series! Never too old to read these books!

The 39 Clues are really good.They have action, a bit romance,friends,enemies,riddles,clues,and more.Even if they are written by different authors the books still maintain a good story line.

Yes. Don't listen to any of these bad/good reviews just go and try them and see how you like them because everyone has different opinions on books. I truthfully really liked it though.

I really liked the idea of it, and the first book, however, I didn't like the fact that all of the books were written by different authors with different writing styles. Also, I feel there are too many books to keep track of, and you kind of need to keep track of the card things to understand it. But definitely try it, you never know...

It's good. Make sure you either find a good deal on the whole series or have them at your library because there's a lot of books.

This is an amazing series.It is totally worth reading!!!

The whole series was crap. a complete waste of money. when i finally finished the first book, i was glad i didn't have to read anymore of the patheticness.
