I have a self-imposed deadline, so I'll start reading now.

And I am every day adding more books to my list anyway!
What I cannot decide is whether to remove the books I read this year from my list, or whether to just put completion dates on the list. Then I can see which books I read this year verus next.
I thinnk I will just remove them.

I will bring my question over to this thread and delete it from the other, since it rightfully belongs here.

Yes, you can set your own dates. Sho has already started. Me, I am now reading books from countries on my list that have several titles.

Eggs would fall under the "anything" category. LOL!
I'm just so excited about the list I've come up with that I want to start now. But I will hold off until I have a few others with higher priority crossed off my list. That might take me up to Jan 1st anyway.

Cool, it's like being a prince and having a whipping boy.

Once we are in to 2012, I will date each book as it is completed. Then at the end of 2012, I can easily rmove them from my list and have a list for 2013. :0)

Excellent foresight, Chrissie! I'm still working on 2012...

PS I am putting the book I think I like best on the top of the books under each country.

so, think about it..."
Oh, so this is the thread where you have been deciding what to do with me. It's okay. I've started already. You can place my "Ally's Books" thread wherever you wish.

When I list my books according to countries, according to which criteria would you list them?
For example: I want to put Lolita by Nabokov in. Do I put it under Russian for author nationality, USA for novel setting or France for original publishing country?

Another one I am having trouble putting in a box is Karen Blixen (pen name: Isak Dinesen) - a Danish author writing, among others, Seven Gothic Tales in US-English AND then translating it into Danish.

When I list ..."
The order you listed the three criteria would be the order I would prioritize them personally. I wouldn't even consider the publishing country as that important at all, however.
