Three Cups of Tea discussion

Three Cups of Tea has many endearing characters. The main character, Greg Mortenson, is described by one person as, "the most remarkable person I've ever met". Although I'm not very far into the book, that description seems very accurate. Greg Mortenson was climbing K2 in the hopes of placing his recently deceased sister's necklace at the summit. In the process, he strayed from the trail, and through a series of mistakes, ended up in a small, impoverished villages named Korphe. Seeing the lack of good education, he promised to build them a school. Many people in his situation would be too occupied in their own problems to even think about the people surrounding them. I am very excited to read on and see how he carries out this promise.
