message 2: by Gatorman (new)

Gatorman | 8320 comments I liked it a lot. Think I gave it 5-stars. At least 4.

message 3: by jb (new)

jb Byrkit (jbbyrkit) | 2035 comments I read it recently and I loved it too.

message 4: by Shay (new)

Shay (shaylyn318) | 57 comments I am planing to read this next, after I finish IT.

message 5: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments I gave it four stars and agree with some that it's an OK read but has somewhat of a predictable plot. I probably liked it a lot better before reading Hill's magnificent Horns.

BTW, I've renamed this thread Heart-Shaped Box and moved it to the Novels folder so people will know where to find the discussion thread for this book.

Jason (darkfiction) | 3233 comments I thought it was excellent, too! A great, fun read.

message 7: by Katie (new)

Katie (KTRyan12) | 65 comments I'm excited now to read it!! I purchased it without really knowing what it was and decided to ask the experts, (you guys!!), and now hearing all of the great reviews I'm excited to read it! I also found out it's Stephen King's son... AWESOME!

Laurie (barksbooks) (barklesswagmore) | 1471 comments I gave it four stars too. It was very creepy but the lead character isn't a very likable guy unless you like selfish, aging rock-stars ;)

message 9: by Kristy (new)

Kristy (kristabela) | 121 comments LOVED IT! (Sorry for yelling.)

It was creepy and fun and everything I want in a book!

message 10: by Bandit (new)

Bandit (lecturatoro) | 8821 comments Very good book, I gave it 4 stars, I believe.

message 11: by Gigi (new)

Gigi (stillsober) | 38 comments Really loved it. Sorry if this sounds silly, but not only did it appeal to the horror loving side of me, I was pretty taken with the unlikely romance as well.

message 12: by Gigi (new)

Gigi (stillsober) | 38 comments Oh, and I agree with Tressa, loved Horns. I just finished it tonight. Did you read 20th Century Ghosts?

message 13: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments I did read 20th Century Ghosts and think the stories are fantastic. Can't wait to read his next novel.

message 14: by Steve (new)

Steve (stewie) | 28 comments Absolutely loved Heart Shaped Box. I still need to read 20th Century Ghosts.

message 15: by Emma (new)

Emma | 2 comments I loved this book. The idea of the 'scribbly' eyes is so creepy!
Horns was brilliant as well.

message 16: by Gigi (new)

Gigi (stillsober) | 38 comments Both 20'th Century Ghosts and Horns were great reads. A couple of the stories in 20th had me close to tears. I haven't read Stephen King for years, but Hill's writing reminds me of his dad's early stuff, even better.

message 17: by Gatorman (new)

Gatorman | 8320 comments 20th Century Ghosts is terrific. Shows Hill can write both long and short very well.

message 18: by Kit★ (new)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 1416 comments I loved this book, it was creepy and I just loved it. Then I read 20th Century Ghosts and Horns, and they were awesome too :)

message 19: by Nora aka Diva (new)

Nora aka Diva (DuctTapeDiva) While I liked HSB I liked Horns better.

Tressa, I agree...Horns was excellent!

message 21: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments It is, Charlene. I've read it and listened to it. Love, love, love this book.

message 22: by Graeme (new)

Graeme Reynolds (graemereynolds) | 96 comments The part that got me was when I realised the planning and pre-meditation that had gone into things. Very creepy book indeed.
