mountainmama (jcallenbooks) | 29 comments My son writes a little bit of everything. The only thing published right now is M.O.D. by J. C. Allen. It's a political intrigue technothriller. The YouTube video is at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=It9YGW...

Edwin Stark Let's see, if you eat about everything and that makes you omnivorous... then, if I write about everything... does that make me an OMNIWRITER?

So far, I've written in the cyberpunk, sci-fi, horror, humor and satire genres. Honestly, I'm considering my hand in some erotica.

My only book trailer is about my off-the-wall humor book, Eco Station One:

Char I haven't checked out mountainmamma's trailers until today. Wow! They are really good!

mountainmama (jcallenbooks) | 29 comments Why thank you Charlene! I love doing them. That's the only thing about editing/publishing/promoting that I've found that's FUN!!! I think I'm getting better with each one. Unfortunately, the first one I made was the one for my son's book, so I love to change it now, but don't want to have to get a new YouTube address and put it every place that it's advertised. And I can't find any way to keep the present address while I take that one down and put another up.

Edwin Stark @ mountain
Easy... do as movie theaters do... just make another and start using that to promote your son's book, considering it your "teaser trailer" # 2

message 9: by mountainmama (new)

mountainmama (jcallenbooks) | 29 comments I guess that's what I'll have to do. Sure haven't found any other way to change it.

Madoc Roberts | 21 comments Here is an interview with the son of the most important Nazi spy in Britain during WWII. The spy's daughter went on to become a Hollywood film star. I shot this and edited it now I use it to promote my book.

Jeff Dawson Madoc, Are yuou referring to Dusan Popov the double agent? He did a great interview with Merv Griffin revealing all he went through and the time he truly believed his cover had been blown when he reported to his boss at Lisbon. Her Merve talked about his real life and that of Ian Flemmnng's James Bond. Dusan replied, "Bond would have been dead in the first twenty-four hours." It is a great interview if you haven't seen it. The only problem with the video is you can't make the script. The words blend into the backgroudn much too well.

Madoc Roberts | 21 comments Hi Jeff. No my spy is not Popov. My man was given the codename Johnny O'Brien by the Germans who made him their master-spy in Britain. Every on e of their spies coming to Britain was told to contact Johnny. What the Germans didn't know was that he was already working for the British security services so he became the most important British spy at the time.

Mi5 gave him the codename Snow which was a partial anagram of his real name whcih was Arthur Owens. He was the first double cross agent of WWII but he has been largely overlooked in the history books because no one knew much about him. A lot of the stuff that had been written about him was from German sources but the information they had was given to them by Mi5 who were seeking to mislead them.

I have traced his family and discovered hundreds of secret files which tell agent Snow's story and he was a bit of a character. On the one hand he had to live off his wits because he could be shot by either side but on the other hand everyone down his local pub seems to have known that he was a spy.

His daughter went on to become a Hollywood film star and his messages were used to make the first British break through into the German Enigma, not bad for an ordinary man who got into spying by accident.

Jeff Dawson Madoc, you would be correct. I have never heard of him from and book I have read concerning the OSS, the Abwher, or Mi5. Sounds like an interesting read.

Thanks Jeff, available in all good book shops as they say. What have you read on the topic or do you write?
