My 16 (almost 17)-year-old daughter is obsessed with zombies. I'm pretty sure she's hoping for the zombie apocolypse so she can turn into one :)

Has anyone read any good zombie books appropriate for a teenager?

Kate (kaitlins16) The Forest of Hands and Teeth (The Forest of Hands and Teeth, #1) by Carrie Ryan is a really good one.

Michelle Scott (michellescottfiction) This was an odd book that I read last year - Motor City Shambler by Joshua Calkins-Treworgy . I liked it because it was written about my hometown, lol.

My memory isn't what it used to be, but I believe the book would be appropriate for a 17 yo. - no sex, but occasional blood. (I would let my own 17 yo read it.)

Thanks! She'll probably like the blood. Her favorite author is Darren Shan. I haven't read any of his books, but she's described them to me and they sound kind of gory.

Sassy Sarah Reads Dead Beautiful (Dead Beautiful, #1) by Yvonne Woon is zombies but you don't find out they are "zombies" until the 3/4 of the book.
