Which Snow White is the Fairest of them All?

Mirror, Mirror looks like it could be funny, but I'm a youngster and I'm not sure if it'll have... y'know, stuff. =P Its Snow White does look a lot more interesting, though.
I haven't heard about the Disney version, but to be honest, it sounds a lot more interesting to me personally. Have to keep watching that one...

Out of curiosity, who wrote the original Snow White. With all the retellings springing up, I'm thinking I'd like to read the original.

I agree with you, Ginnifer is the best live action, modern Snow White I've ever seen. I don't have high hope for Snow White and the Huntsman...Kristen Stewart just really really bothers me. Charlize looks awesome in it though, and I do love her, so I'll probably see it.

I'm not a big Julia Roberts fan, so I'm not sure how much I'll enjoy the other Snow White movie.
The one set in Hong Kong might be interesting.

OTOH, Snow White has always been about maturity being threatened by youth, especially in women's matters, and KS might be a very subtle subtextual nod to our celebrity culture that values youth and stardom uber alles. Especially since Charlize has always had more than enough of the chops to hold her own in meaty parts while still looking like starlet material.
Ginnifer Goodwin is just made of cute, though. in a kickassy sort of way.
The Hong Kong seven version might be interesting, but if it's a ripoff or mashup of Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai, I'll be annoyed.
There are three, yes three, upcoming Snow White movies: "Mirror Mirror" (Release Date: March 16, 2012), "Snow White and the Huntsman" (Release Date: June 1, 2012) and Disney's "The Order of the Seven" (2013). See below for a brief comparison of each movie.
Mirror Mirror
The relatively unknown Lily Collins (daughter of singer Phil Collins) plays a Snow White with girl power in "Mirror Mirror". Based on the trailer, Julia Roberts steals the show as the petulant Evil Queen. It is definitely a family movie, containing a bit of action, romance and comedy to ensure it appeals to a broad audience. My guess is that it will prove to be an entertaining, but forgettable movie to anyone other than diehard Julia Roberts fans.
Snow White and the Huntsman
The more maturely-themed "Snow White and the Huntsman" appears to be a re-imagining of the classic fairytale as a war movie. Twilight fan favourite Kristen Stewart plays Snow White, opposite Charlize Theron, who plays the chillingly ruthless Queen Ravenna.
Under the tutelage of the ruggedly handsome Eric the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, "Thor"), Snow White transforms into a sword-wielding Joan of Arc figure reminiscent of Alice in the climactic scenes of "Alice In Wonderland" (the movies share the same producer). Hopefully the ending to "Snow White and the Huntsman" is more satisfying than simply having the protagonist slice off the head of her enemy.
Even if the movie turns out to be flawed, its beautiful imagery has me sold. I will be eagerly awaiting its summer release.
The Order of the Seven
Disney's "The Order of the Seven" is another live-action retelling of Snow White, but heads in a much different direction than any other version. Set in 19th-century China, seven warriors assist an English woman who goes to Hong Kong to attend her father's funeral, only to find out her step-mother is plotting her murder.
Not much more information is currently available, but based on what I've heard so far, I'd much rather watch Disney's 1937 animated film, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves".
I predict Kristen Stewart's Snow White will be the fairest of them all. Which Snow White movie are you most eagerly awaiting?
