Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2569 comments Yes, I'm pulling a fast one!! You're going to be nominating for two months reads! So a total of four books. So feel free to nominate up to four.

This will get us up to speed so we can start up a normal schedule for the Group Reads.

Please nominate first in the series or stand-a-lone books. (feel free to renominate books which have been before BUT not books we have already featured as group reads - you could try nominating the next book in the series, see below)
If we've already had book 1 as a group read feel free to nominate book 2 and so on! Our Group read history

Timescale:
Nomination time January 5th to 20th
Poll January 20th to 27th
February group read starts the 1st and will go through the month.
March group read starts the 1st to the end of the month and you will have all of Febuary to get your hands on the books.

The two most voted books will be February's reads. Then the 3rd and 4th place winners will be March's reads.

If your choice does not come top you can either renominate for May or see if any other members want to do a buddy read with you.

****This is a PNR and UF group, try to nominate books from that genre pool****

message 2: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. I keep meaning to read this series and have the books but haven't got to it yet. What about

Wolf at the Door (The Others, #1) by Christine Warren Wolf at the Door? It doesn't look like she's been read as a group read yet.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2569 comments That sounds great, I've been meaning to read this one for ever!! Great pick.

message 4: by Eliabeth (new)

Eliabeth Hawthorne (eliahawthorne) | 34 comments Something from the Nightside (Nightside, #1) by Simon R. Green Monstrous Regiment (Discworld, #31) by Terry Pratchett Eolyn by Karin Rita Gastreich

The last two are both fantasy. By some definitions, urban fantasy, by other definitions, not.

Carolyn F. I forgot the new Alpha & Omega was coming out Ezinwanyi! I don't think it comes out until March so you could mix up your picks.

She is one of my favorite writers. But you want to check her book order. The first one is called "One Bite From a Stranger". I think thats the name of it.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2569 comments Julianne wrote: "How about Tempest Rising (Jane True, #1) by Nicole Peeler I'm dying to read this."

Hallowed (Unearthly, #2) by Cynthia Hand Bloodlines (Bloodlines, #1) by Richelle Mead
MARCH
Fair Game (Alpha & Omega, #3) by Patricia Briggs Lover Reborn (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #10) by J.R. Ward

message 15: by Ezi (new)

Ezi Chinny (ezinwanyi) @miri:
Lover Reborn will be released on March 27 (at the end of the month). I think it will make a better April BOM. Just my opinion though.

Darn it, you're right, I just saw March and lost all train of thought I was so excited :)

message 17: by TJ (last edited Jan 07, 2012 06:44PM) (new)

TJ | 9 comments Oh, please consider "The Shadow Reader!! It is not only the first in a series but also a debut author who, I believe will rank right up there with Briggs, Ward, and Moning. AWESOME book!!!

message 18: by Eliabeth (new)

Eliabeth Hawthorne (eliahawthorne) | 34 comments I just caught this but "The two most voted books will be February's reads. Then the 4th and 5th place winners will be March's reads." What happens to 3rd place?

message 19: by Kira (new)

Kira (KiraRiyu) | 12 comments Eliabeth wrote: "What happens to 3rd place?"

LOL! Guess it's the odd one out.

The Darkest Seduction (Lords of the Underworld, #9) by Gena Showalter

These are all going to be released in February. So I thought they would make good March reads.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2569 comments Sorry guys that was my bad wording!! I shouldn't post when I'm tired. ^_-

I'll just go fix that.

message 24: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Maddison | 4 comments Also would like to read Graveminder by Melissa Marr and also would like to read Texas Gothic by Rosemary Clement-Moore.

message 25: by Ezi (new)

Ezi Chinny (ezinwanyi) I think 2 weeks to nominate books is a really long time. It should just be a week. People are nominating the same books. By the 20th, we will have 30 books to chose from.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2569 comments Too, true. I always feel bad not giving members a chance to put there two cents in.

message 27: by Eliabeth (new)

Eliabeth Hawthorne (eliahawthorne) | 34 comments Shera (Book Whispers) wrote: "Too, true. I always feel bad not giving members a chance to put there two cents in."

Especially since it covers 2 months of nominations.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2569 comments Tell ya what, I'll cut back the nomination time. Does that mean you guys would like to do the poll sooner?

message 29: by Ezi (new)

Ezi Chinny (ezinwanyi) I guess I have a TBR pile and a pop up set on my computer to remind me of certain dates coming up (like Lover Reborn, Fair Game etc). So for March, I KNOW specific books that are coming out that I have been dying to read!

The question is, can I wait until April to read Lover Reborn for a group read or will I succumb and read it on March 27th when it arrives on my kindle?

but I understand that others need more time to contemplate.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2569 comments Ah, when you get it on th 27th it will pretty much be April! ^_-

message 31: by J. (last edited Jan 17, 2012 12:22PM) (new)

J. Gates (jgabrielgates) | 6 comments How about the scariest teen horror novel ever written,The Sleepwalkers by J. Gabriel Gates? The Sleepwalkers by J. Gabriel Gates It's gotten lots of killer reviews on Goodreads, and if we pick that one, I (the author) promise to spend lots of quality time on the boards to answer everyone's questions! :)

~J

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2569 comments I'll add it to the poll.

I'm a little late on it. If you haven't heard I had to crash my computer. So hopefully I'll have it up and running by tonight.
