Gabriella took a step back, a flicker of fear entering her eyes, something quite usual for her when she met new people. "Hi-hi," she muttered, and then nodded quickly. "I'm fine."
"S'okay," Gabriella said, her voice almost a whisper. "I just hit my hand, that's all." Wait, why was this girl so concerned about her? She tried to find a reason that would fit, but for the moment couldn't do so. She simply backed up a little more instead--best not to get too close.
"No." Gabriella shook her head, now backed up against the wall. With no where else to go, she glanced around quickly. Which way to go if she had to run? Left, maybe. She hadn't seen anyone from that end of the hall for quite a while now. Yes, that would be perfect. Nobody to intercept her, or to scare her, or to attack her. She would go left.
Gabby simply shook her head, trying to stop her hands from shaking. Why was this girl so interested in her? She couldn't figure it out, which only made her that much more wary.
"You're lying," she whispered. "Just like them. They always lied to me too--said they wouldn't hurt me. They were at it for months. They thought I was stupid." A pause, and her voice got much firmer as she took a step forward. "But I'm not." Her dark brown eyes hardened. "So which one of them do you work for? Hm? The FBI or what?"
"Tell me!" The yelled words rang with authority as Gabby lunged forward, shoving the pink-haired girl hard. "You tell me who you're working for!" Her brown eyes blazed now, with a combination of fury and determination. She wasn't going to let the lies continue.
"You tell me!" Gabby kicked the girl as she fell; not very hard, but hard enough to warn her that she meant business. "Tell me," she repeated in a low voice. "Tell me who sent you to spy on me."
"Be mean to who?" Gabriella demanded. She dropped to her knees, tense and ready to strike again if she had to.
Gabriella shook her head fiercely. "They're all out to get me," she snarled. "All of them. Everyone here, everyone out there. Everyone."
"That's not true." Gabby shook her head again. "Everyone here," she repeated. "Nobody wants to help me. They're just here...just here to spy. I'm a target, don't you see? They want to me gone. They want to kill me."
