JoAnn Spears | 4 comments Hello all! I am new to goodreads and a diehard Jeeves fan. I've just posted a quiz about Jeeves and Wooster...any takers?

Robert Dodds | 7 comments 11 out of 13 - pretty pleased with myself, as I haven't read the Jeeves stories for a while!

Algernon (Darth Anyan) | 22 comments not fair: one of the questions had a double answer

L.T. Fawkes (ltfawkes) | 7 comments Every time a couple breaks up in one of his novels, Wodehouse says they "parted brass rags". I've wondered about the derivation of "parted brass rags" for years and didn't know where to find the answer.

Now that I've found this group, maybe I'll finally find the answer. So how 'bout it? Does anyone know?

Rebecca Douglass (rdouglass) 11 of 13.

Are we all missing the same ones?

Anyway--I just joined the group and, alas, can't answer your question, L.T. But I'm a librarian type, so I'll try to find out.

Rebecca Douglass (rdouglass) L.T., a quick Internet search suggested the British Navy is at the root of it, as is so often the case.
