Just started
I have been looking for books like hers for years and was surprised to find she had released a new book in the UK. In the middle of moving house (again!) but it was must read so I've started it. Hopefully I'll be able to find some time to read it this weekend in my new house:)

Just finished The Girl Who escaped from the Titanic - not sure why I bought it except it was fairly cheap on Kindle (and In a sucker for Titanic stories). A light fluffy read but not well written in places, I thought.

I am also reading Ina May's Guide to Childbirth in preparation for September!

So, I've opted to read an old favourite of mine: The Fall of Atlantis. Not sure what the book after this will be, as I have the new Ben Hope book on the kindle... And I can feel it's call like a Siren!

I've read all her books and loved them but that one is particularly good I thought, did you enjoy it?

Currently reading The Broken Empire Series Books 1 and 2: Prince of Thorns, King of Thorns - and if you pardon the pun, these books have really hooked me. Wasn't sure at first, but it's one of those books that has grown on me.
Not sure what the next book will be, but no doubt I'll drag something out of the bookshelf...
Think it might be An Appetite for Wonder: The Making of a Scientist - got this for Christmas as a tree-book, and as it's a hardback, it's too heavy to take on holiday.

I read it years ago, that's the one where it seems much of it is made up isn't it? I can't really remember whether I thought it was good or not, might be worth a re-read to see.
I think he claimed that if was real http://www.nytimes.com/2006/01/27/boo... (hope that works - I'm on my fire hd). I gave it a break for a few days since I got to the part where he was at the dentist and I had an appointment. What are you reading at the mo'?

Darn good book that one. Book 3 The Book of Life is due out 15th July on the kindle - and I cannot wait :-)
Currently reading Cockroaches, and it's really enjoyable - plenty of twists and turns, and is really keeping me hooked.
Not sure what the next book will be - but suspect it may be Web of Lies as I need a braincell break before tackling anything more complicated....
I found the second Discovery of witches book a bit of a let down, I hope the third one is better (although that might have just been me)
Have been busily updating my bookshelves trying to remember what I've read whilst not on here much. Getting through GoT4 fairly rapidly and trying not to read anything alongside it in case I get distracted and stop again.
September releases include the new Tana French and Ben Aaronovitch books, so I need finish books 4 and 5 before then.

Now reading something a little lighter -

Whilst waiting for the Handmaids Tale, I have started We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves
It's making me cry!

I'm currently reading the Stephen King ebook releases. There are four of them -- Ur, A Face in the Crowd, Mile 81 and In The Tall Grass. I finished Ur and A Face in the Crowd over the weekend -- both reminded me exactly how much I enjoy a bit of King! Lots of twists and turns make for really great short stories! I'll be starting one of the remaining two tonight, and maybe Gone Girl if I download it when I get home.
I'm also reading
at work on a lunch time. I can't say I'm really ejoying it. It's very odd and fragmented, although there are parts that just seem like absolute genius. I can't wait to see how it all comes together -- that's what's keeping me going with it!

Your genius comment really intrigues me - did you finish reading?

The Hand maid's tale. Very gripping. The most thought provoking novel I've read in a long time. Also one of the scariest, horrific ideas. Hope is keeping be reading, the hope that things may change. Eek!

I finished it. It does start to come together towards the end, and you see how the characters are linked. I'm not sure that I really understood what happened on the train...or whether they were never really on a train at all and the whole thing was just a metaphor for life? I think that might be nearer the truth. It was intriguing, let's say that!

I am halfway through
and I am enjoying it although it seems very similar to the geisha books I have read. My in laws are visiting so I am mainly reading very late at night when they are in bed :)

Did anyone get any books for Christmas? My nephew got me Foxglove Summer which I've wanted since it came out so just started it today :)
I'm reading the Maze Runner series. I charged through the first two, and have just started the third. They're not the best books I've read, but they're surely gripping!
I'm awful at the moment, I actualy have 5 books that I am halfwayish through and dipping in and out of!
3 from my reading challenge list and also The Girl with All the Gifts and The Invisible Library
It's making it all much slower going so I must really concentrate on finishing some, I've just been in the mood for something different every time I pick my kindle up.

I started
(bought this hardcover edition) and I was really getting through it and then I didn't read it for a couple of days and it's been weeks now. Considering leaving it for now to get back to my list after seeing how well Jo is doing :)

I just started How to Build a Girl

I've previously read How to be a Woman

Are we still doing group reads?
Happy 2016 to you too! I need to set this years reading challenge!
No we stopped doing group reads because very few people joined in. I love the LOTR trilogy and Caitlin Moran so hope you both enjoy your reading :)
