More of my visual poetry. This time in Yew Journal - devoted to poetry and images by women. Here's the link: http://yewjournal.com/ When you get there, click my name.

Jonathan Lopez | 530 comments Very nice, Ruth. I love the luscious blue and gold in the first image, which reminds me of manuscript illumination--although your embellishments to the page actually hide text to reveal new meaning. Really interesting, well-made pieces.

Thanks, Jonathan. It means a lot to me that you like them. I know you have a discerning eye. And yes, I'm definitely influenced by manuscript illumination.

Wonderful, Ruth. I love that kind of thing. Reminds me of that word, palimsest--google tells me I've misspelled it... palimpsest, a manuscript with different layers of writing because it has been reused over the centuries.

Yew have been on a roll lately. Things just seem to be coming together. Either you're getting better at marketing yourself or its your own Age of Aquarius happening!
