Kea Alwang (kea_alwang) | 4 comments I'm about to finish my first giveaway on Goodreads. I know we're not supposed to sending anything with the book, but do authors typically sign them? Or would that violate the rules? Just a simple signature? What do some of you do? Thanks!

Darlene Craviotto (darsbooks) | 45 comments I sent a little note to the "Giveaway" winners thanking them for participating. One of the readers mentioned it in her review as a nice gesture. It's really up to you, I think.

Kristine Cayne (kristinecayne) | 188 comments There are "rules" regarding signing the books? I actually advertised my giveaway as being for signed books.

Xan Rooyen | 32 comments I made my giveaway for an autographed copy so I'll definitely sign mine. I received a giveaway book off Goodreads with a printed note from the author with some basic info about the author and the publisher and some kind words to the reader - nice touch. Up to you. Just don't send cake or something and I think it'll be fine ;)

I would actually love to get a cake along with a book...or maybe some cookies ;)
