In a quick search I found this fantasy series - (I have not read) Gatekeepers by Anthony Horowitz.
Dead Until Dark
Raven's Gate

Also J R Rain's Moon Dance series, although Samantha doesn't master that skill until book three. First four books set, Samantha Moon(Vampire for Hire)$2.99 Nook:

Dreamcatcher? What'd I miss?

So much so that when J Michael Starczynski wanted to write about the head guy telepath on his wonderful sf series "Babylon 5" he named him Alfred Bester.
Also read OCTAVIA E BUTLER's Patternist series that begins with Wild Seed. Next is Mind of My Mind, Clay's Ark and Patternmaster. Or you may find them as Seed to Harvest.
Bester and Butler's telepaths are nothing like Sookie.

I loved seeing the difference in the two versions - I actually use it in my classroom when I teach point of view.

Happy reading!

The Knife of Never Letting Go
Monsters of Men
The Ask and the Answer

Where you mean't to put " main character who is Telepathic " you actually put who is "telepathethic"
Take care, Mark :-)

Wow. Good thing I'm almost all ebook these days. If my TBR were made of paper books, the fire department would be coming by to evict me as a hazard to the whole neighborhood!
