Silvia Iskandar | 3 comments I have a book coming out this week, but I haven't been able to add it. Gosh...it was so easy to add my first book back in 2010..it's now so complicated.

I have been accepted to the author program but everytime I try to add a new book, I always get: Sorry, only members with verified email addresses may create book records.

Isn't my email address verified? I got the notice of author program acceptance from support@goodreads through that same email address.

rivka That's not what it means for your email address to be verified.

Sorry for the inconvenience. The verified-email requirement is an anti-spam measure, and it has cut down on fake "book" spam.

thank you for your prompt reply.Now I've added my book, but made a mistake. I accidentally added 2 redundant entries of the same book, now I have 3 records for the same book.

It happened because I didn't see any column to add the cover image, your book entry columns (title, publisher etc.) are all left aligned, while the column for cover image is the only one on the right. I missed it, and when I saved the date, a record is created. I did this twice before finally finding the column for cover image on third attempt.

Now when I try to undo this, I can't. I want to delete the two records without cover image, but I'm not a librarian because I don't have 50 books in my account. So, what should I do?

Michael (woofer) | 4 comments I'm having the same problem. Somebody added my last release to the Catalog, but I have been unable to link it to my Author profile. Goodreads used to be reasonably user friendly and responsive to "Contact Us" when there were problems. But with all the changes recently, it's no longer user friendly and zero response from the Goodreads team when you contact them.

Book issues should be reported to the librarians group.

Providing book title, ISBN in order to ensure changes are applied to the correct edition.

If you add the ISBN or link to the book someone will sort it out
