What!? we only get two weeks and can renew it 3 times but only if it's not on hold.

Well its 28 days and yeah we can renew it twice if there are no holds!

How long do they hold it for you? For us, they give us 9 days to pick up an item that is on hold

Okay, so I guess I'll get things started since I read the book the day it came out and loved it.

I really enjoyed this book conceptually and in writing style. I am a huge dystopian and sci-fi fan and well this book combined both genres! Love that (whoot whoot). I found myself pulled toward Samm who happens to be my favorite character and empathic towards his plight even when things with his character went...well wrong. Kira, I felt was a strong character and I wanted her to figure out a cure. Her determination and conviction had me rooting for her the whole time.

The only thing I didn't like was that I saw the twist with Kira coming from a mile away : ( and at times there could have been more action.

Does anyone feel like Kira should be with Samm??? Even tho Marcus is funny, it seems like Kira just isn't that into him especially when it comes to her actions and inability to commit. Let me know what you think.

I enjoyed Partials, but it seemed to have long sections where not much happens. I thought it was a little strange that they had teenagers in such adult jobs, such as working in the senate, doing the research on the cure, the thing that would save mankind. I think Kira and Marcus's relationship was not very great, at least on Kira'a side. She was ripe to (view spoiler)[ fall for Samm,where I think there was a spark. (hide spoiler)] I think the twist was good. I did not see it coming. I think in the next book (view spoiler)[ Kira will end up with Samm since they are both partials (hide spoiler)]

I finished this book last week. I was surprised that I enjoyed it. I agreed that it was odd that the teenagers were in adult job positions, but I feel like the circumstances of their world it made sense that they started working earlier in life since there is such a small population left.

Do you recommend the book?

Partials was amazing. I really enjoyed this book I didn't think that I would like this book at first but then the story got more exciting and I didn't want to put it down. I really loved the main character Kira Walker. I admired her determination to save the world. I didn't expect to be surprised but I was astonished at the end of the book. I'm excited about reading the sequel.

First of all i loved the dedication in the beginning...Is it weird that I always look forward to reading those?..Eh, who cares? this one was awesome.

To be honest I really didn't know what this book was about but it had a great review from a fantastic author and that the only reason i decided to read it. The beginning was a little slow, but it showed a lot of how they lived life and how their society worked so I didn't mind it too much. I loved all the characters. Especially Kira, she is one of those female leads that absolutely kicks ass. i loved her dedication and the fact that she had a backbone and would not let anyone stop her from achieving her goal. and her little entourage of rule breakers were all pretty badass as well. Yes it was a little weird how mature they were considering they were all really young but in a way thats what was really interesting, i mean having to be a adult at 16...I cannot even imagine it.
I liked the little twist towards the end..maybe it was just me but i really was not expecting it.
My only problem with the book was the lack of action..I was really expecting their too be more action and was a little disappointed that in a lot of parts not much happened. But overall i really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the allowing books, I think the series will only get better after this one (:

Do you still hate Samm?

Maybe hate is too strong of a word but what he did annoyed me! Even though he sort of redeemed himself later. Then again Marcus annoyed me too, I felt like he wasn't really supportive of Kira.
