message 1: by Cy (new)

Cy Helm | 69 comments All the other segments have a name that fits the S&L theme. My suggestion for "What We're Drinking" is "The Troll and Robot Pub."

I like that, or a play on potions. I feel the word "quaffing" should be used.

message 11: by Cy (new)

Cy Helm | 69 comments What were the names of the bars in Star Wars and Total Recall? They're the only Sci-Fi bars I can remember. The name should include both aspects - Sword and Laser (imho).

message 25: by Dinre (new)

Dinre | 20 comments I think trying to fit both the sword and laser into every segment name is a mistake. I prefer the approach behind "Quick Burns" or "Bare Your Sword." Just pick something that's fun. Or stick with "What We're Drinking."

message 26: by Alterjess (new)

Alterjess | 319 comments Kris wrote: "Chalice and Tankard"

Oh, I like this one! But aren't those both "sword" terms? For Sword and Laser it should be, I don't know, Chalice and Bulb.

Kendrick (kmartinix) Nate wrote: "Colin wrote: "Grog and Gargle-blasters. My vote."

I like the alliteration, but Gargle-blasters might get a little tongue twisty.

I like it. Plus the hosts get bonus points every time they complete it without stumbling through it.

That should be the password that must be repeated flawlessly in order to get through the door.

message 39: by Alex (new)

Alex | 2 comments Maybe it's me, but all SF esque drinking names of this type should be called Callahan's Place.

Alternately, you could make an oblique reference and call it, "Quarters are in the cigar box."
