The referee will be constantly updating a scoreboard. The team with the most points after the snitch has been caught will win.
You can block them from stealing it.
How to move:
There will be a referee on the pitch for every game. Simply, players must wait for the referee to post a move. The first person to copy the move and insert their name into the action will have that action counted toward themselves and their house.
For Example:
Referee: ____ scores a goal!
Post 1: Joe scores a goal!
Post 2: Jess scores a goal!
Joe and his house would be credited with the score.
The referee will announce who scored, update the score, and post another move.

Moves
Simply, players must wait for the referee to post a move. The first person to copy the move and insert their name into the action and change the color of their text to their houses color (red, yellow, blue, green) will have that action counted toward themselves and their house.
Referee: ____ scores a goal!
Post 1: Joe scores a goal!
Post 2: Jess scores a goal!
Joe and his house would be credited with the score.
In the cases of close calls, the person who's text matches the referee's the closest will be counted as the winning post.
Referee: ____ scores a goal
Post1: Joe scores
Post 2: Jess scores a goal!
Jess would have won the points for her house in this event.
The following are a list of moves and rules about them.
Quaffle - the score.
10 points if score made by a chaser.
5 points if score made by anyone else.
____ passes the quaffle to ____ (chaser)
____ catches the quaffle (chaser)+
____ scores/blocks a goal (chaser/keeper)*
+In this event, if a player from another team catches the quaffle, it will count as a steal and give the other team possession.
* This move will depend on who reacts first. If a chaser posts, then it will count as a score and ten points will go to the chaser's house. If a keeper posts first, it will count as a block and no points will be scored. If a non chaser or keeper posts, then it will count as a goal toward their house and five points will be scored.
Bludger - the timeout.
2 turns^ out if hit by a beater.
1 turn^ out if hit by anyone else.
____ hits the bludger toward ____ (beater)
____ blocks the bludger from ____ (beater)*
If a beater knocks a bludger at someone, that person is out for two moves. If a non-beater hits a bludger toward someone, that person is only out for one move.
*Other beaters have a chance to defend their players, however, and if they can post this move (regardless if the referee posted it or not) before the next move is posted by the referee, then the hit player will not be out. Other team members cannot block or defend against bludgers.
^ Turns are considered a post by the referee.
Snitch - the end.
150 if snitch caught by seeker.
75 if snitch caught by anyone else.
____ catches the snitch (seeker)
While anyone may catch the snitch, full points will only be given if the seeker catches the snitch. This is very tricky for players, since they want their team to catch the snitch, but, patience is a real virtue toward the end of the game.
Penalties - ouch!
- 10 points to the house of the person giving penalty.
____ penalizes ____ (any field position)
You do NOT want to be the person doing the penalizing in this instance, since points will be deducted from that person's house. Rather, you want to be on the receiving end of the penalty. This move can be made by any member. Penalize anyone but remember that it will be their house that suffers, not them.
Note: this is one of the only times you can post another member's name in a move.
Interesting - the irony!
1 turn missed due to consequences.
____ event (any field position)*
*This can be anything random and detrimental happening in a game, from bottles hitting players, to an enchanted broom, to lightening striking. You want to put the name of a player you want to see sit out for a turn, not yourself.
Review of more game-orient rules.
You may not post moves for other people, only yourself. Ron cannot write "Harry catches the snitch" and expect it to 'count' as a legal move. Ron would have to write "Ron catches the snitch" and accept half the points.
You may NOT edit posts during a game, unless you are adding commentary to your moves. Any moves that will be changed will result in a 10 point deduction from your team's points.
Teams are allowed four reserve players to play during games, unless the full player is not there. Reserves then slide into full positions and another reserve is allowed to play. All reserves must be organized before every game and reported to the referee.
All points made in games will be accrued and applied toward house points, regardless of winning status.
Weather Conditions
Weather conditions can have a major impact on the outcome of a Quidditch game. The weather conditions will be announced 10 minutes before the game begins to give players the opportunity to strategize how they will play the game.
Pep Talk
Both teams that will be playing in an upcoming match will have a pep talk 30 minutes before the start of the match. The captain will give advice and encouragement to the players, take attendance (to make sure everyone's online and assign backups if necessary), and prepare for the upcoming match.
